How Much Does An AKITA COST?

My Akita cost $4,500. I spend the same on him that i do on my child a year. Akita's are very expensive but they are completely worth it. My boy turned 3 a few days ago and he is absolutely amazing. He is a member of our family in every way. They require expensive food, treats, equipment, toys, very, very expensive vet bills and bedding. You won't even care what you're spending because the love and loyalty of an Akita is unmatchable!

@@blank2413 Sometimes you are lucky. But normally these dogs cost 1500 to 2500€ from good breeding. American Akita's are cheaper

PAID $1000 ON MY MALE AKITA BACK IN NOVEMBER HE WAS 7 WEEKS OLD AND WEIGHT ABOUT 6 LBS NOW 4 AND A HALF MONTHS AMD ABOUT 42 LBS HAVE A FEMALE AKITA/SHEPARD. MIX SHE 30 MONTHS GOT HER AT HUMANE SOCIETY PAID $300 FOR HER HAVE ABOUT $3500 IN BOTH THEM SO FAR

Mines too!!! Found the breeder on the AKC website and I got all my paperwork with her. All the vet paperwork. I met the parents and they were great big beautiful friendly dogs!! 6 weeks just picked her up yesterday

I breed German Shepherds and someone asked if I would trade plus extra $200...I sale my German Shepherd puppies for $800 so with the extra $200 ended up being $1000..I don't regret it at all...

@@yujiro5827 I think his intention is for the puppy to get a head start on knowing it’s name before he comes to pick up his Akita puppy. Often you will purchase a puppy weeks before they are weaned and able to be separated from their mother. I get what you are saying though, it isn’t really necessary for the puppy to know it’s name at birth.😁

@@seansabu310 ohh okay. I just got my puppy this weekend on the 13th. I felt comfortable paying my 1200$ for mines. I did the same research but the numbers I kept coming across were 700-2000. Unless your paying for a show quality dog. I also got all my paperwork for her and medical exams/shots/deworming medicine for her the day I picked her up. The parents are amazing we'll tempered dogs. So I didn't run away lol

@@peanuttheamericanakita9485 no 1200 is fine just the more I pay for an akita i feel the people selling them are not trying to just sell to anyone who just wanted to have a dog , akitas are very intimate they won't leave your side even for a moment and people selling them want to make sure they are going to a good home that can accommodate their size and stubbornness lol but my dog is a show dog from perspective.
