I also fixed my bent bumper by taking it off and laying it on some blocks under my trailer legs and then cranking the legs down with a towel between to protect until it was straightened out. Worked perfectly

Fuel here VA, 4.67 to 5.49 a gallon. And yes the expensive fuel would be your love's, Pilots, ETC.

You guys rates are way better we have in Atlanta! They don't kiss you goodnight or slow down to let you get out! Tuck'n roll🤣 I love those tri-axle slider chassis. I had one back home running the ports in New Orleans, Mobile Alabama & Pensacola. You can make good money with that chassis as long as the rates were decent! And we ran a lot of military 20's to Mississippi & permit loads to Pensacola💰💰💰. Love that chassis that chassis 🥰 Stay safe up there in the Northwest 👍🏿✌🏿

I did the same Air Ride and I did 1 1/2 Springs I took a cutting wheel and cut the bottom off just behind the U-Bolts. Not easy because of the steering arm gets in the way. I also replaced the door handles as well way better.

That's actually the best way 2 shift, it's the way I was taught 2 shift back in the 80's. The old timer told me it saves wear & tear on the transmission

Non syncro tranny. Range selector and splitter have syncros. Lever shifts gear to gear do not

Oh, what ever happened to air ride kits for the t-660 you was making up? Did that fall off or?

Not as simple.. it’s hard to perfect them. And if someone spends 5k on a air ride system they expect high quality zero issues. Air rides have lots of negative side to it. Looser feel Steering, bump steer is issues alot are experiencing. So untill we find a system that works really good. I’ll be changing mine up again to try to make it better.

Red side has same pressure as in your air tanks.. run the truck build the pressure all the way first.

I went on drayage directory and used to call the carriers on there. A lot of them have direct container accounts with customers/ warehouses and can dispatch owner operators.

I'm in VA, rates for the company I'm with are really good. 400.00 to drive 11m to colony tires. Take empty in, DONE for the Day! I haul containers also. 21 year's!

When they Dispatch them to you is it just yard to yard .. meaning from there yard to the customers n back to there yard or do you do the whole thing meaning going into the pier n getting the load n running it n then returning it. I run outta the new jersey piers. And thinking about getting my own authority n scat code n running the containers. The ports are never that slow with work. But the money is in having your own authority and scat code as you run the ports

You shouldn't go by the miles. It take an average of 2 hours to pull it from the terminal and the same time to return it . If you add 1 hour for unload it. 5 hours total. Does the mileage really counts when you spend a half day waiting.

@@thinkwisely7610 all the wait time is paid for $55 an hour.. and no we’ve been averaging 30min to an hour on pulling load, even less if coming from the Rail

@@CustomRigs I've done Oakland and Long Beach ports. It takes 1 to 2 hours per transaction sometimes even more. Don't forget we are dealing with longshoremen who take 1 hour for a half hour break and 1and half hour pour their 1 hour lunch time+ they all work slow. I've heard your T18 terminal is also at the same pace.

For containers you don’t need a broker license to work directly with customers/ warehouses. So lots of times you get work from other carriers/ dispatchers.
