Fair play to his old man who established the family business and is a self made millionaire. James is clearly reaping the rewards of his dads endeavours. You have to feel sorry for the factory workers though who are probably paid minimum wage and possibly watching this guy spend £60k plus like it’s pocket change,

Honestly, your channel blows all the others off the road. Thank you for getting into the honest-to-God detail with this one. Of course it's obvious that a trip like this is beyond the reach of most of us, but you have managed to make it relatable and make us feel a part of it - for FREE! Your all-hours commitment to that task is much appreciated, and I for one am really looking forward to hearing your 'big' news. Given everything you've done with this channel so far it must be massive! Your success is well deserved, James. I hope you are able to enjoy it (and share it with us!) for many years to come.

To be fair 60k for a planned trip , several no hassle car loaded aero plane trips , hotels pre booked events and tracks rented out, fleet management it's not all that awful . I was thinking round the area of 120k or something ridiculous like that
@TwinkieCakey6 жыл бұрын
I was thinking more like 200k, but 60k isn't that bad. For experience like that, I'd throw that kind of money in it.
@livndays456 жыл бұрын
I agree. £60k is actually pretty good value. To put into context, I paid £850 for a night in a relatively standard hotel last week. Amazing room, but not a particularly special hotel. These guys are chartering massive jets and there must be so much ‘fixing’ work goes on.

I can't begin to say how thankful I am that you give us such an exclusive look into something that 99.9999999% of us will never get to experience. Being able to share in the excitement and experience of Gumball 3000 just as a viewer feels like a privilege. It's due to all your effort and hard work that we get this free yet valuable insight into a world so different from our own. I know I'll likely never be behind the wheel of a car even close to some of those in my life, but getting to watch it and feel it through a screen is the second best thing. So thank you for all your work and willingness to bring that experience to us viewers, it really is something special.

For someone really rich this rally is cheap, just pocket money. The main thing here, as James told us, it that like everything in life the key is networking. When you´re accepted in a restrict circle the chances of being in the next rally are increased. Also you can add more contacts and business opportunities. Beside that you have a really life experience, being in amazing locations, lots of attention, disconnecting from a stressful life... and having really fun.

Great video. Answered alot of questions I thought about as well. While outside of my bank accounts realm, it seems like a good time. Esp considering the amount of networking involved. Associating with movers and shakers is well worth the money as it leads to more money. With people you would have never met otherwise. Dream Gumball 3000 type rally... to be honest, as a retired truck driver, that would be an utter nightmare driving that much every day again. Regardless of the company or car. I would want the Lazymans Rally, drive a few hours a day, visit a track or nearby attractions. Take a little longer to get there but would enjoy it alot more. That being said, I do enjoy your (and others) videos about the trips and lifestyles I am not a part of. Keep them coming.

They are all multi millionaires, so money shouldn't be an issue. Moreover, from intangible aspect, you get what your money's worth through the whole experience (should you embrace them of course). From financial point of view, you can get even more than that through networking.

So wait by multiplying 60k ( on average calculating inflation and popularity growth etc. ) by an average of 200 cars in 20 years, gumball 3000 without counting the sponsors in, made about 240.000.000$ with participants alone. To be onest going from a joyride-journey with your mates to this is pretty amazing

Did you see where they stay and what they eat? Plus the cost of flying your car from Italy to Japan. It's like people dropping 5-10k to go to the superbowl. It's all relative to your income.
@Nyperia6 жыл бұрын
And yet people are willing to spend 80k on education that will get them a life long slavery and bad debt. Here, as James said, you meet at least millionaires if not billionaires which is beneficial for all involved I bet. Would you also rather pay 2k for school books than attend a 3 day seminar that teaches you how to become financially independent or teaches you how real-estate's work/how the stock markets work/.... Don't think in the boundaries you were taught and born in. Think bigger, think as a millionaire not as a medium wage worker and you might stumble upon great things 😉

Gumball is fun, I’ve done it twice. Not the whole thing but a leg in America in a Lambo in 04 or 03 and in Europe in 16 in a Bentley. It’s a good time, but doing the whole thing is a bit much for me. The format this year with Europe & Japan I didn’t think was a good idea. The best Gumball’s are in Eastern Europe. The cars are amazing!! Nice video
