However, I do look for Kosher food when shopping because they do not have the needless, unnecessary, and often unhealthy added ingrediants. Thanks for the tip about coffee always being Kosher, even if it is not labled as such. God bless you, Sarah Malka!!!!

You know what I love about you? You meticulously follow a thousand rules for life. You've got them all down. Most of us peering from the outside think, when does she have time to do anything else? Yet, you're a full-time mother, a full-time high-end professional, a full-time wife, who pursues excellence in everything you do. Your home is impeccable. It's beautiful! In spite of allbof that you still find time to make videos..and now you're off to Brooklyn! You tie the whole package up with a gorgeous bow of love. I can literally feel it in your videos. Then there's the rest of us who aren't following any rules to speak of, yet can't seem to find time to vacuum the living room let alone create a life even a fraction as full as yours.. We're stressed. We never have enough time in the day to do anything, and on top of that, we don't get a lot done. Most of us feel fairly inadequate at pretty much anything we attempt. I'm just telling the truth. It's true.

At Walmart in the central United States, a 12-count of large eggs is $2.75, 8 ounces of decaf instant coffee is $7.45, 1 pound of tomatoes is $1.25, and a pound of fresh, boneless, skinless (non-kosher) chicken breasts are $2.70. I thought it would cost a lot more to eat kosher because of the added inspections. I do find it upsetting that groceries cost almost $300 / week for a family to eat healthy. It just validates to me that raising and growing a lot of our own food and pretty much only buy what we can’t produce - spices, sugar, salt, etc. was a good choice for us. Funny story, I have loved dill pickles since I was a little girl, but only kosher dills. They are a different flavor so growing up I always thought kosher was a type of flavor like spicy vs. non-spicy. I didn’t realize until I was an adult that kosher was so much more. Thank you for sharing everything that you do. While I am not Jewish, I have Jewish ancestry and love the ritual present in your day-to-day practices. It seems very peaceful and calming.
