Awesome man, good to see the bike back. I will be doing my 12k service in the coming weeks on mine. I am able to tackle that myself being a former tech and the engine in my bike is much more accessible and more standard to work on. Not sure I would ever try and tackle Desmos myself without fully knowing what to do.

Love it man... a real Rider 15k in one year.. Impressive. I only own Ducatis and have/ had several through out the years. However due to the maintenance cost of several Ducatis, I got my own Mechanic/Shop that only works with European Bikes and reduced my maintenance costs 50%-60% . I would advice the same specially since you put a lot of miles on the Bike. Cheers enjoy.

I’ll be out in Dallas and Houston in mid and late march. I have the black on black v2 We need to meet up and ride when I’m out there!! And completely understand needing the bike for the mental. I am drastically in the same boat w everyone there. Beautiful bike. Good video break down of the service stuff.

Awesome dude I put over 15,000 miles on my Diavel V4 in less than a year. So far I am on my 3rd set of Rosso Diablos, and two oil changes. Yup it is expensive.😂 A month seems like way too long, should take about a week or less. I also installed a Termignoni Titanium Dragster exhaust myself and up mapped the bike, and modified the air intake.

Could one take the bike to a local service station or garage to do the necessary tune ups and have it certified in a manner acceptable by Ducatti so that it will perform as it should and continue warranty and other perks?

Those tires are like a cat on carpet. I burned a set up in 2200 miles on my speed triple. Curious for you to tell me about clutch service. I have heard the V4 has a dry clutch that lasts about 3-5k miles. Does the V2 do the same?
@HardcityRaindrops10 ай бұрын
The V2 does not have a dry clutch, and yes they burn up quickly on the V4, and the tires are not meant for miles of street riding; they are race tires.

I figure if you own a Ducati...Get a Big Jar, and just put $20 bucks in it each pay period, and have the discipline not to touch it until when & If you reach 15k miles, if you own it that long.

IMHO? NOT a good bike to daily drive AT ALL lol ....lol JUST for a valve adjustment basically it is the better part of $2500....lol That just SOUNDS ridiculous! I can live with so much less bike to avoid THAT lol I am also thinking 15k miles? Really needs the brakes serviced....I mean flushed and new pads. Same with suspension 15k miles? rebuild time or AT LEAST change fluid/ recharge. Yeah a chain wont last much past 15k really riding it...tires? I would be through many sets 15k ...well lets be honest to the wear bars 15 rears AT LEAST no silly stuff either ....fronts at least 10...then again I dont commute on my play bike (MT-10) its all turning no freeways etc ....So I mean JUST tires cost a fortune to keep up with I cant imagine tolerating all the maintaince cost of a Ducati ...or Ferrari etc lol too crazy! (My car is an ND Miata....very cheap maintence! ...well tires dont last for crap on that either)

I’m 6’3. I’ve never ridden a V2, but if it’s at all comparable with a 2007 CBR 600 it’s doable. Occasional leg cramps you might have to shake out, and you won’t want to do any multi day trips, but that’s not what these bikes are built for anyway.
