With the rise of scammer locksmiths flooding the market and dominating Google search results through paid ads, it's easy to fall victim to their schemes. Imagine being locked out of your home and calling a locksmith, only to find yourself confronted with demands for $800 cash to get back inside. Unfortunately, many older individuals and single women have found themselves exploited, paying thousands of dollars for a simple lockout service.
This video aims to shed light on this growing problem and provide you with genuine advice from a qualified locksmith on what it should really cost to unlock your door. Most scam locksmiths lack proper training-some may even damage your door in the process. If they've received any training at all, it's often from watching KZbin videos, which is far from formal education. In contrast, real, trade-qualified locksmiths undergo four years of study and complete an apprenticeship before they can call themselves professionals.
These scams have been made possible in part by SLED, the security industry regulator, which removed the requirement for formal training to operate as a locksmith in NSW. So, if you've been ripped off, you can thank SLED for devaluing the locksmith industry and opening the door to these scammers.

Great awareness video, I'll share it round. I'm a qualified locksmith but I actually stopped doing gain entry work due to the fact it's a race to the bottom with price normally and a lot of time these scam companies are to blame, but I really feel sad for these people that are getting scammed and hope the government does something to put a stop to it occurring, because I guarantee Google isn't going to start allowing you to review them.

Yep, they are outside Googles adword guidelines, but they refuse to remove them" False or misleading claims" and they dont allow reviews. Its all bout the money for Google

The terminal receipt can be used to find the people. It requires personal identification to apply for a bank eftpos. The TID (Terminal ID) from memory Take one call from the authorities to follow up and find these criminals
