It actually hurt me a bit in the feels as I’m a big Lorna Shore fan and that comment was like a gut punch. I get why a lot of people would hate deathcore in general, but I think LS have a great sound and most certainly have heart. Anyways I overall loved the video as well. Great colab Bradley!

@@tiredcat8782 heavier is a pretty subjective word to use. I feel like it's faster and busier at minimum. The problem is when you ask your average metalhead for their idea of heavy you'll get a different answer every time. Fast, downtuned, extreme vocals etc.

The thing is, by constantly trying to be "heavier" than the previous band, there's a point where metal becomes a parody of itself. I had a period of my life when I listened to some heavy stuff for the time ("things" like Deicide or Cannibal corpse), but in retrospect to me now they just sound ridiculous. I checked Lorna shore for a bit. 2 minutes in I smirked and cut it short. To me it just sounds like they're really trying far too much. It's not just a matter of getting used to it. I've heard things like that before. It's a matter of perspective, and when music, for you, stops to be music to become a comedy. It's like a low-budget gore flick that takes itself too seriously.

Lovely video indeed sir Beadley hall, my mom enjoyed metal and was always supportive of the music I was interested in, I remember back in primary school when I started getting into Marilyn Manson and back then in those years we had a major "satanic panic" going on, so if one listened to Slayer or Manson, most adults would fear their child has become a Satanist, my mom didn't care she was always supportive, I remember once at school me and my buddy had a disk with Manson pictures on, so we asked the computer teacher if we can use one of the PCs to view the disk, when she saw Manson pictures were on it,she confiscated it and took it to the principal, the principal called my mom to come to the school the next day and asked her if she knows her son is into satanism, she just looked at him like really?! She didn't say nothing, just got up and left lol. I will never forget that, my mom passed last year before Christmas, I miss her so much, she particularly loved Deathstars and Amon Amarth. (Forgive the long post, just felt like sharing)

It’s a funny thing watching this kind of thing because my parents have a huge awareness of the music that I like and my dad still buys metal, punk etcetc now he’s approaching 70, so I’ve never had that disconnect re my tastes with my parents but I know that’s unusual. To clarify though my mum doesn’t like the heavy aggressive shit but she knows it (quote-“I like music but the vocals are horrible” when listening to Converge 😂)
