How so? Cosplays that cost that much are hand made. When you start calculating the hours, the materials etc it comes up to that. Thats why most cosplays dont sell their work, specially when you can get a knock off version on aliexpress. Would I spend 2000 on a cosplay? Hell no. The guy in the armor suit didnt buy it, he made it himself and used a 3d printer. If we take into account the labor and the actual price of the machine, it's much more. That was literally the point I was trying to make. Making your own costumes saves a ton, but not everyone is willing to do it. And the guy in the trenchcoat doesnt look bought, he probably made it himself it's not well enough done to be bought from a cosplayrr. It does sound like a lot, he may just be new to it and counted all the tools you need to buy, initial costs are hell.
