Thanks for the feedback. My first impression also driving this car exceeded my expectations, I made another video on that. As far as affording one, well there is also something called: "Exotic Car Hacking" by Pejman Ghadimi where basically you can certain way buy a used 911 or any exotic car in mint condition, then drive it for a year and sell it for almost the same price or in some cases even at higher price and basically drive it for free or even make money.

Great video, now people get a pretty good view of why these cars are so expensive. I watched another KZbin video where the person specked out a GT3 needless the price was close to $300K.

Thanks for the feedback. The thing is when you buy a Porsche, you definitely want many of these options and price jumps sky high very quickly. GT3 is a dream car :)

An honest review. Porsche options, hmm, one can certainly error on the side of “too few” or “too many” options on a car of this type. I would spec “an enthusiast” Carrera T ($125k base) that includes: sport chrono, sport exhaust, sport PASM, mechanical limited slip, sport seats, lightwt battery and glass, and S wheels and tires. I would then option a carbon roof and rear axle steering. Checking the box for the 7-MT is a no brainer. Maybe make it unique with a color upgrade (ice grey?). That’s a $137-$140K build. Wouldn’t have the motor or brakes of an S (and you’d be at $150K+ on the S with these options!). The T would be a driver’s car and hold its value. Thanks for the vid, and good luck with the channel!

Thanks for the feedback. Oh yes Carrera T is a true enthusiast car. I was quite impressed even with base Carrera and T is just how to make it even better more engaging with a manual transmission. By the way Carrera S is a great car if you want to track it. I visited Porsche Experience and that is the car they use, bare bone Carrera S. It flies around the corners at near death speeds. Super impressive.

I intend on buying a base Porsche with no extras beyond silver paint. With tax is around 130k.

Yep you got it right around $130K for the base 911. I think Porsche prices are increasing at a faster pace than inflation. For $130K maybe you can also consider a slightly used 911 with less than 10K miles but with more options. I highly recommend Chrono package as it gives Sport+ mode which is 100% worth it. Other than that - Base 911 is almost a track car - it is very sharp, super responsive, feels like almost doesn't have suspension :) and plenty fast.

Yep that's how Porsche wants us to play this game. I mean they have very good product and after 2020 they made them even more exclusive specifically 911s. Especially with an End of Era for gas cars 911s are an asset to have.
