Fellow 350z owner here! Great video series! Have taken mine to Jez at Horseham to adjust mapping to get rid of a bad stutter at low revs. Now totally gone and feels so much better to drive as a result. Not a huge power gain for me either but this correction for me was a total game changer, even if the addotional power is barely noticeable! Enjoy your car!

I had the exact same results without a remap (276hp), but with different mods : mishimoto air intake and silicone hose, an aftermarket exhaust that starts after the cats, and reinforced ignition coils. So I guess you could get a 20hp gain with only bolt-on mods and a remap, which is nice. I felt a small difference after those, but the BEST mod I have right now is...a polyurethane diff bushing. Maybe mine was shot but it was night and day, the power is going straight to the rear wheels almost instantaneously !

I did long tube cold air intake, long tube headers, custom Y pyp, plenum spacer and light weight flywheel and retuned with uprev tunning I again flet a huge improvement in throttle response, power difference is noticeable from low to mid rpm range aswell as Rpm is raised from 6600 rpm to 7100rpm and the car is happy with that

I’ll use this videos as a reminder of why I need a remap. My car has similar modifications and is running the stock tune. I expected my AFRs to be slightly lean but 13.5:1 is very lean

Lovely upload and exactly the same feelings I had. Some folks say it mate a massive difference, but can only assume it was running utterly rubbish before or had an issue. If the engine is running well prior to a remap, the changes won't be greatly felt.

You have to do Motordyne ART pipes and a plenum spacer to feel a noticeable difference....I've done that twice and each time puts a grin on your face...only reason I had to do it twice is I sold the ART pipes and XYZ pipe to raise money to help someone out, then later bought ART pipes again and yep....even without a tune you'll smile. :)

You should have noticed a significant improvement in engine smoothness and drivability. I had the uplift model which was reputed to have higher horse power (296hp) all be it at a higher rev limit. I had sports CATs fitted together with a better "Y" pipe but standard exhaust and with a remap got about 310hp, all done by Abbey Motorsport. The engine felt very different and was much smoother and more refined. If you're looking for more power, then best to look at alternatives like the E46 M3 as the heatsoak with V6 engines is a major limiting factor.

i got hks knockoff exhaust bet thats why it maped 313 with same mods. Picked that exhaust up for 100 quid used was deffo worth it for sound hehe.

Just got my 2007 Nissan Murano SUV remapped by Remap Kings. It’s the same engine as the 350Z but factory de-tuned to 230 BHP. NOT ANY MORE !!! They use a cloned 350Z Nismo stage one map Just been dyno tested at 274 BHP And, YES ! You can certainly feel the difference, with a corresponding 20% up-lift in torque. Which the super smooth CVT gearbox handles very well AND, incredibly, it now does 3mpg more around town. And 6 mpg more on a run MWAH HA HA HA HAAAA (evil laugh)

the graph at 2:14 where you say the engine is running lean - is actually running rich between about 5100 rpm and 5900 ish which I wouldn't call "low revs" either. it's Air:Fuel, anything less than 12.5 is less air to fuel thus it's running rich. Ideally you want to run at 13-> 13.15 cruising, and 12.5 under load (extra fuel can cool the valves etc) . that said 12 instead of 12.5 isn't THAT bad, just wanted tuning out is all. Though I think your audio at 2:14 actually does apply to the graph you show 20 seconds later that shows 13 to 13.5 - that's fairly typcial OEM map for emmissions and fuel efficiency.

I did the plenum spacer install but removed it after a year. It sounded great until the engine got up to temperature; after sitting for a while and restarted, it sounded angry and unpleasant.

Should have done Motordyne ART pipes, plenum spacer, and a cat back exhaust....THEN the remap...you'd get about 25HP and very noticeable torque....speaking from experience and I didn't even get the remap....a remap would have made it even better

The in take is sufficient, just needs the velocity stack mod inside the standard box and a drop in performance filter

Performance filters do not add anything. Ive been tuning engines and doing dyno runs for 26yrs. Most "Cone filters" as people call them generally cause a loss of 4bhp due to taking in hot air from the engine bay. Even performance panel filters do not add anything other than a bit of induction noise.

@@dj_paultuk7052 I went with mishimoto box and was dyno tuned on that. Later on iw added intake pipe mostly for looks. I consider that mishimoto box only proper upgrade over stock. I could use retune now with hfc and intake pipe change bet lost some power from cats deffo gained some low end torque over test pipes. Now it passes emissions i was sick of swapping test pipes every year for mot and paying extra 100 cause of that lol.
