Whispers in history of large gold nuggets buried deep in the head waters of a river so remote that it ultimately leads us into our most challenging prospecting adventure yet. You are absolutely right, Levi. I do research in the forests of Brazil. You just have to have that determination, and conviction, that it's never over till it's over. The number of times I've made discoveries only because I kept up my enthusiasm, Is uncountable; It's just part of the basic make-up of what makes those who are successful and good at what they do really good. Good on you guys for hanging in there and on top of this you will have all of these glorious memories to look back on, in the future (when you get slower, creaky and worn- out!).

Your Tasmania is wild and beautiful, and also dangerous. It can be compared to Vancouver Island, but there is a different climate, flora and fauna. Gold is just an addition to such beautiful photos and old stories of this island. I hope that they cover the costs of your trips and there is still something left. LIDAR mapping would be helpful for what you guys do. Where I prospect ( not as good as where you guys go) reviewing LIDAR shows clearly old channels and even old workings. Rivers change course all the time due to multiple reasons. Landslides, massive floods, and general erosion. If gold was moved around 100, 200, 300 years ago the river course would of certainly changed. What is an inside bend today could very well of been the middle river or outside. What was outside or middle could have been inside bend many years ago. Hard to tell. Quite the chonker this trip :)

IDEA : Kevlar. i have seen smaller kevlar sheets for sale that might be useful on areas needing abrasion resistance. knee, elbow, thigh. multi layers w/ waterproof adhesive. just a thought.

First of all I love your videos and I have a few suggestions and comments. If you get a small piece of strong fishnet from a fishing supply store and some Velcro,you can make a homemade weight belt that can be attached to your wetsuit at all times and easily filled with river rocks and emptied when you want to walk. That eliminates having to lug your heavy lead weight belt everywhere. Also I would like to hear all about the phantom gold you found one time. You haven't said much about it and I'm concerned that you might be missing a lot of gold because it's not obviously gold at first sight. You get very aggressive shoveling rocks out of the way looking for bedrock and I wonder how many nuggets as big as marbles get missed. Anyway I love your videos and I hope the criminal politicians allow you guys to keep going and enjoying your own country. Keep up the good work.
