Did you know that breathing sand dust causes permanent lung damage called Silicosis. This lung disease is caused by inhaling silica dust, a mineral found in sand, quartz, and other rocks. Symptoms include chronic breathing problems, scarring in the lungs, and difficulty breathing. Symptoms can appear weeks to years after exposure and usually worsen over time. Silicosis can also increase the risk of other serious conditions, such as tuberculosis, pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, and arthritis. Other diseases Breathing in sand dust can also cause asthma, rhinitis, sinusitis, and several rare respiratory cancers.

0:15 Pauly are you trying to mislead people? That one distributor is not where "ALL home depot suppliers get their sand." I have to comment on every one of these videos. Each home depot has their own regional supplier. The sand you get in canada is very different from what I will get in oklahoma. Please, for the love of god, state this in your videos so people dont go out spending money on sand and wasting hours panning it out when there was never a chance at gold.

This comment is very true. I’m from Canada and I’m kinda close to the Fraser river. When he said it’s known for it gold he is telling the truth. There has been plenty of gold pulled out of there. Your average sand in the states or whatever probably won’t have this much
@dubbledab693 ай бұрын
I mean anything on the internet I'd take like a grain of sand. When you have a revenue built on doing wild things on the internet it becomes more easy to do wild things that normal people would never actually do. And im sorry but if you spend all your money on sand in hopes to get a few flakes of gold you shouldn't of even had the money to begin with

Error. The sand on the bottom you left behind would have the highest concentration of gold in it. NeXT time, put a huge tarp down on the ground before dumping the sand on it. Then as the heavy gold falls to the bottom, it will be caught by the tarp. You lose nothing.
@baddestmofoalive3 ай бұрын
No, I ran a gravel pit with a sand screw for 3 years. That sand would be practically homogeneous. If you could simply dump sand into a truck, then into a pile and all the heavies went straight to the bottom, there would be no need for sluicing or anything else. You would just dump sand on the ground and discard everything but the bottom 1” layer.

Error.
@Tyler.80463 ай бұрын
@@baddestmofoalive I think what they mean is as you disturb the sand from scooping it, you're going to displace the gold further down. It's going to be negligible, but you'd definitely see a higher gold concentration at the bottom of the pile than the top. Even if it's only 1-2% higher in concentration, etc.

Well, I know that some of the gravel and sand pits here in Germany do actually extract the gold out of their product. If you ask them if they make money from it, they will just answer "if it wasn't worth it, we woudnt be doing it". I would bet that the home depot pit is sitting on a lot more gold, as Germany is not exactly known for much gold. So if they can make extra 200$ per truckload of sand, that sounds interesting to me.

Using a dry rocker box to feed the probably unnecessary trommel would have removed probably 10% of the mass in dust fly off. A shop vac to to get up the remaining sand on ground may have helped with the final weigh out too as much of the heavy gold would have settle to the highly manipulated pile. Running the sluice into a low spot on the property that needed fill material would save a lot of labor too.

14:07 I also very same question why you didn't put it on a tarp to begin with but...... But....... As a truck drove for 5 hours that gold would have settled to the bottom of the pile and went dumped it would have been on the top of the pile. So you should see less gold as you get to the bottom of the sand pile. So your long truck drive was actually a good saving grace for your extra work at the end

transporting the sand around the country probably doesn't pay, but the company should definitely consider running the sand they get out of the river through a sluice before selling it. If the sand they sold you for 841$ contained 250$ worth of gold, that's almost 30% of the value of the sand... Not sure how much sand they sell in a year, but this seems like a no-brainer move...
