Absolutely correct and brilliant. Some (most) of the other channels I watch when they do how much do I get from KZbin generally say it’s not really worth it. Yet they generally have many more subscribers, they all want you to ‘like and subscribe’ because it helps the algorithm, yeah we know why. Thanks for the channel keep it up, oh and I like Hikoki as well :)

Junk hunt is a good idea, I agree. What I also like is bigger projects like building the shed or building the drainage but that's obviously hard to do because projects like these don't fall from trees. In my humble opinion the short maker videos like building a step stool or making a cabinet don't cut it anymore, there's too many channels that do the same and if you've seen a couple of these it gets boring. It's a challenge, though to find new things to make that are different. I do understand that sponsorships are an essential thing to have, so I don't mind you advertising some companies. Anyway, Keith, you're a nice person, your videos are interesting to so many people. I wish you all the best for the future and I'm looking forward to your next videos

@@RagnBoneBrown why don't you start building your own website and slowly funnel all sales and activities there. As we all know at some point all these platforms aren't loyal, we saw what tiktok did to American creators a few weeks ago. After bad experiences from ebay and Etsy I sell everything from my website. Website costs me £1.99/ year

I clean Windows for a living and I'm on a similar wage to you, but where me and family win is that whenever we need any furniture making, or house alterations, maintenance, we just roll up sleeves and do it ourselves. Therefore like you, we are never paying builders to do work, so i dont need to earn money to pay for them. Your channel and others like yours give us keen diyers good ideas and inspiration. This is the problem. I've built houses, roofing, gutters and dowspouts, siding landscaping and snow plowing..... Technology is preffered, laborers get no credit anymore. I've spoken to teachers in the laborers union and it's dropped immensley. We are going to have a huge shortage. Laborers are not all just brain dead people.... The saying always was go to college. Just like a beehive or ant nest everyone has a job. We are really messing up our "ant nest per say" It can't continue like this.

I've never cared about paid ad placements in YT videos, you can tell me to download candy crush if it means you get some extra £. I think with the latter part about the reliability of your business being quite centralised to a few companies, it adds a component of risk to your company. With risk, one would expect higher returns. In my opinion, extract what you can when you can, get that bread whilst you're still able. You deserve it, Keith.

First time seeing your channel. (I live in the US; spent 9 years in the UK a long time ago). It was the algorithm. I wasn't searching. I watched it all the way through and subscribed. Thank you for your transparency. I'm sure it will help a lot of content creators. I also appreciate how hard you're working, not only for yourself, but for your family. Hoping you have continued success.

Funny and honest. Nice to see. Thanks. I made a calculation once with my small channel and it makes me cry. But he, you just have to love what you do.

Great video Keith. You're not alone. I don't create content for KZbin, but I'm one-man business owner myself and concerns like continuation during dry-spells and exit strategy (i.e. retirement) are upmost in my mind too.
