Hey Macey. I’m really glad you have been able to start earning pretty substantial income from KZbin. That’s an amazing accomplishment. That being said I just wanted to point something out that you may or may not be aware of. The tail end of your videos have been consistently getting cut short. (They tend to end mid-sentence). I’m not sure if it’s a recording issue or an editing issue or both but I figured you might want to know because you are pushing so hard to make each video better and better. There are two simple things you can do to remedy this. The first is to record for a couple seconds longer so you get the whole statement, then cut off the extra. The second is to add 5 seconds of “dead air” or an end screen. Doing both of these should counter any weirdness from KZbin and help your video production look more professional.
@MacySavannah3 жыл бұрын
Aww thank you! The ending of the videos is a running gag on the channel, it's totally intentional. I cut each video in the middle of the same sentence every time. I appreciate your concern though!

Important question~ How did you get such a good career at 21, or when you got your career at such a young age whenever it started? Did you finish college? Because people that are 18 still are usually finishing highschool, and then 4 years in college means graduating around 22. How did you get started at a real career before the usual age of college graduation where people may still be hunting for internships or have to apply to masters or phd? Please let us know, I am sure your successful journey at such a young age and how you grew up or were raised may be helpful to many! Thanks
@MacySavannah3 жыл бұрын
I’m assuming you are talking about my full time job. I was one of those babies who turned 18 during their first year of college. I stayed home and went to community college so I could get two years worth of work experience and started to go through the bachelor’s program online while working full time. A lot of employers really like that and I would definitely recommend this. It shows them you are a) able to balance multiple things in your life, b) you are a hard worker, and c) you are less of a risk because you have other people who can vouch for how you conduct yourself in a workplace

Actually sponsorships can be reliable if you handle them correctly. I heard many times big creators saying, that in order to get sponsorships you want to reach out to the sponsors (or hire an agent to do that for you), instead of waiting for sponsors to reach out to you. Sponsorships are essentially the same concept as KZbin ads. In case of KZbin ads, KZbin acts as your agent that brings advertisers to you, but takes 45% of the revenue. By working with the advertiser directly you cut KZbin as a middle man, and replace the advertiser’s ad video production team. So all that money goes in your pocket instead. And of course the sponsors get the ideal ad placement, because they are promoted by you on your channel, so you also get extra $ for bringing that value. However, you can’t promote the same scammers that run KZbin ads on your videos, because you don’t want to be associated with them. In a weird way working directly with sponsors is not as attractive for finance channels as for other niches. The scammers can afford to pay huge CPM to place their ads on finance related videos. For someone who isn’t in finance niche, and who has for example $2 CPM, they are happy to get $10 per 1000 views by working with a sponsor directly. But if you’re in finance and have say $30 CPM, you get $16,5 per 1000 view after KZbin gets their cut. And that $10 sponsor is not so attractive to you, as it is for someone with $2 CPM.
@MacySavannah3 жыл бұрын
I agree sponsors can be but not when you are small. I think once you get over a million it’s very easy to rely on but under a million a lot of brands will view you as a bit more of a risk than someone who will for sure get 200k+ views on a bad video

I had to rewind to 6:19 three times just to see the cat make that supercute sound, and the headbutts, omg too precious. 😍 I want to steal Beans from you. 😮

I don't know what the noise is but it's adorable! We call his little headbutts boops. He likes getting kisses.

I do ebooks on Amazon. Don't get too many buyers but believe I did yesterday since Amazon paid me.

Merch can be huge, but in a different niche. For many KZbinrs it’s their main source of income, especially for not advertiser friendly ones
@MacySavannah3 жыл бұрын
I agree, like Nelk it is huge for! Just I don’t think most small creators realize it takes a while and depends on the niche. Most likely it can be a main source of income for very kid friendly KZbinrs and prank KZbinrs

Okay, you make more on KZbin than I do at my job per month. (Which kinda sucks, but not really surprising.)

Trust me, there was once a point right after I turned 18 were I was stoked I made $500 in a month. It’s all relative!

@@MacySavannah oh, I know, but all my money seems to go towards college. And I just started a KZbin channel for my 5 month old deaf Australian shepherd. (His name is Stitch.)

From the sounds of it you are doing great. Congrats!! I thought you were going to say invest the sponsorship money and then spend the money your money earns, but in thinking about it, that could go down. You are probably better off saving it for taxes or spending it on something that can be a tax write off, at least until the next tax year. Good advice about the sponsorships. Anyway, great video.

Thank you! I am doing super great! I’m investing the money from normal stuff towards new equipment and a down payment on a house! I’m very excited though!
