Productivity = Doing high leverage activity in less time Leverage = we get more output per input Phase 1: creating a 2nd brain Stop holding everything in brain.close all the tabs/ cognitive loops in the brain. Brain dump in notes before going to sleep. Phase 2:priority management Only 20% of what you do accounts for 80% of your results. Focus all your time on executing that 20% with excellence, i.e. pull big levers There are 2 problems: 1st: How do you know which big levers to pull? ICE method (Tom Bilyu) : Make 3 columns. Impact, confidence, ease List all the day to day task. Rank them in all 3 categories based on this question: If I were to complete this task on a scale of 1 to 10, how impactful it would be? for ex 10 = life changing, 1= ok Sum up all 3 points for that task from all the columns . If total is between (choose whatever range suits you) 1-17 -> low priority 18-25 -> moderate priority 25 or more -> highest priority 2nd:How do we structure our time so we r not sucked into doing unimportant things? ->phase 3 Phase 3: creating amplified impact time Now that we have our priority clear, we will be structuring our day to maximise the results Goals are for losers, systems are for winners Because goals focus on outcomes, systems focus on processes. Implementation intention: It specifies the daily actions that you need to achieve desired results What are you gonna do? When are you gonna do it? Amplified impact system “Success is not measured by how much you get done but what you get done.” 3.1 Priority setting Using ICE method we are going to specify 3 things --> 1st :5 to thrive: 5 most imp task of the month, quarter or year 2nd: 3 to free: 3 most imp tasks of the day (what are the 3 task if I accomplish, I would feel like a success. Ice method score above 25 or whatever you want to set) 3rd: 2 to do : 2 low priority tasks like laundry, cleaning that needs to get done but if we ignore it they keep piling up and create mental burden in the back of your mind. 3.2 Time blocking Often the thing that you want to do in the moment is not good for you in the long run. Create a schedule for future you. Blocking time for each task in the calendar for when are you going to do it. Schedule more time for each task then you think you will need in the beginning. We often overestimate how much we can do in a day and underestimate the time it needs. Do not jam your calendar with back to back activities. There is only so much high quality tasks that you can do in a day. Give your brain time and space by mixing high priority tasks with some low and moderate activities No matter how well you plan your day, set your priorities, how well-intentioned you are, you will slip or be distracted eventually by some unforeseen events Phase4: intention maintenance Brain counts of 20% of you body’s energy. If you keep it running at a high capacity for longer time, it will drain you out. The only goal of your brain is to keep you alive. So it will do its best to not expense any unnecessary energy. Brain wants to shut out and go on autopilot; that’s why it feels so good to play video games, scrolling on sm, or binge watch Netflix. Brain is inherently lazy, but You are not. Brain simply wants to survive, but you want to thrive. People reach their highest levels of happiness and fulfilment when they are challenged and fully engaged in accomplishing a difficult task. But your Brain doesn’t want that. It is important to know that your brain uses 2 tactics to win the attention war It is gonna suck you into zombie like state of complacencies and distractions without you even noticing. Your Brian tricks you into consciously deciding I am either too tired to do it or I am not ready for it now. No matter what tactic brain applies, ask your self this question to turn the tables. It is a pattern interrupter and pulls you out of autopilot. What’s my outcome? What is It that I am trying to accomplish? Ex. What is my goal to watch this video. Am I trying to avoid what needs to be done or am I taking notes to build a system for myself. What is the goal behind building this system? By creating this maintenance routine and asking this question, you are creating a lens through which you filter all your activities to ensure you are actually moving towards your desired goal and have a better life Set some alarms throughout the day to stop whatever you are doing and ask why are are you doing whatever you are doing in that moment? Phase 5: Thinking time To continue building the intention maintenance muscle, set aside some time for these practices: Meditation, quite reflection time, long walks, prayer Enjoy🙂

I have been diagnosed with ADD at 40. Lol, I told my mother and she was like"yah ofcoarse you do." 🤣 She knew it since I was 6 from school and doctors but for some reason I was the last to know. I have always been creative and smart, but crippled myself with not being able to focus. Trying to do to much at once and never finishing because I got paralyzed by to many project, etc at once and not prioritizing one. February this year I almost died and was hospitalized for two weeks. Diagnosed with severe crohns and lost 18inches of intestine. Very traumatic on my 4 kids, wife and myself. But pain is a great motivator. I woke up. I somehow forgot how much I used to dream of being more and settled. I feel now that I can do and will do so much more. I'm 40 and my life is better than it has been in along time. Never give up on yourself. We are worthy. I will definitely implement these tools for success. Thank you for you inspiration. And also from another scatter brain to a other(ADD) you give me hope I will overcome.

This was fantastic Anthony! I saved this video in one of my Private Playlists. I am 41 and just got diagnosed with ADHD and this is me to a T! Before that, I had been band-aiding with To-Do lists, calendar scribbles, and sticky notes all over my office, house, art studio, and in my car! I have since started figuring out winning systems that work for me and still developing them as I go.

I will be creating a second brain IMMEDIATELY. Having too many ideas and goals is what stops me now. I've settled on forcing myself to focus on one big goal for 1-3 months before I can move on but a second brain sounds like a great way to balance the uneasiness this can make me feel

I'm a student, watched this video and somethings that I feel helps me the most is prioritising the most imortant things and by using the ice method you explained really helped out a lot. I changed it a bit by using the categories: impact(is this really important) due date (how close is the due date from 1-10) and stress ( is this things something im really stressed out about). This way I get the most important assignments and tests out of the way first and I also have much less stress because I prioritise the things that are the most stressful with the closest due date and the most importance. Thank you for the video, really helped out a lot!

Anthony, thank you so much for this video! I found myself taking notes all the way through it first time I watched couple days ago, signed up for Asana yesterday and purchased the audio books of Atomic Habits & The Power of Habit this morning. (Started listening to Atomic on drive home today!) As a small business owner of 24 years and dreams of expansion, I’m a slow learner, lol, kept thinking next year will be better, cause I set a goal but never really changed much. Yes I accomplished some things etc, better than no goals but came to the realization over the last few months how I’m not where I want to be, I own my job, with dreams of more and life just passing me by it feels at times. Don’t get me wrong I’m very blessed but just felt defeated in so many ways. I’ve realized after watching yours and some others Ive been needing a system, a frame work Im willing to do. Get the ball rolling the right direction and fine tune it as I become consistent with it. Blessings to you for blessing us! Thank you for over coming so you could inspire us to also figure out how to over come:) Bryan

Thanks for the video man 🫶🏼 I’ve been needing something like this haha. One thing I just wanted to say about meditation is that if you find it hard to meditate, maybe you’re not using the right technique that suits your cognitive fingerprint. You’re right about the mental push-up thing though. I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD and originally I thought meditating was just sitting there in silence. Little did I know that there are 112 meditation techniques and sitting in silence comes from one tradition. 🤣 I like AUM chanting personally. Anyways what I’m trying to say is that finding the technique that gets you to the state of meditation the fastest is probably the best one to use. I’m no expert though, I’m just speaking from my experience. But great video!

Extremely helpful, thanks for sharing the ideas as well as your own experiences in trying to navigate a successful productivity process. A lot of what you’ve said resonates with me (admittedly several elements of procrastination 😂) but, also how you articulated the feelings of lack of control &/or productivity because of an OCD problem & how having a certain mindset can effect things by trying to fine tune something rather than working with it & seeing where that leads. I found how you delivered the whole video very inspirational & the passion you have is clearly a driving factor in you success & the reasons for sharing these helpful ideas. Meditation, mindfulness or whatever you want to label it, is extremely helpful & a very good tool for perspective. Thanks again for the content

Hi Anthony! Great video, thanks for sharing! When you talk about the ICE framework, you mention the example of writing a book, and say that while it is not easy (writing is always difficult), you are pretty confident because you have a system now. Would be super interesting if you could make a video sharing this system, I'm sure many aspiring authors like myself would appreciate it a lot. Thanks! Pablo.
