I like everything, but the 72 month loan. To me, no car is worth paying on for 6 years, that's just insane. Financing is OK, but keep it to 36 months while the car is still under warranty. Should've put down 30 g's.

Loan amount/duration is all about what works for you. To save less then $1k in interest to have my payment twice as much with more cash down just isn't worth it to me. This car is a business expense, so I did what makes sense for how I'm working the car. If I didn't have the GTR, i would of done something like that

A lot of dealerships still has the car sitting on their lot since the release of the car and many are desperate of selling off their lot. That’s when I came in lol with the COVID-19 going on and a lot of Supras still waiting to be sold, I was able to bring down the MSRP from $57K to $49K plus with my car trade-in of $10K then $4K cash deposit. At the end of the day, I left the dealership at $40K which includes tax, tag, titles, etc and extended warranty of 8yr/100,000 mile warranty. Can’t beat that sale.

First of all, Toyota's keep their value more then most vehicles do. Buying a Toyota or Honda may not be an investment, but overall, they are good value for the money. With decent care, many are like buying 2 vehicles in one. That car is HOT. I'm not sure what your future plans are for it, but I'm sure you'll be careful not to overdo it. People who are negative are annoying sometimes, but I also find them entertaining. 😂

There are multiple interviews with Tatsuya Tada explaining in great detail, how and why they designed the car the way they did. the vents can all be functional for tuning purposes and Toyota quality control stress tested every single part of the engine and kept sending it back to bmw until it met Toyota standards. Toyota’s Senior product planning manager Ben Haushalter also confirmed that the power train transmission, and suspension was all tuned in Japan by Toyota.

Mine was $500 over MSRP for a 2021 it was so hard to find in Cali. Then the taxes were brutal. I love all the mods you've done to it and all the open roads you have haha. I'm afraid of MOD'ing mine, it will give the dealer a reason not to fix something if it goes wrong.

I heard they’re going to stop making it since they’re discontinuing the Z4 after it’s cycle.. so unless they find someone else to pair with or build it entirely themselves it may go on hiatus again. I know it isn't the most accurate method, but taking a quick look on Cargurus, there are some dealers who are already listing under MSRP, of course they could be showing that and then you go in and aren't eligible for whatever they are using to discount the price, but there are cars shown online under MSRP now, not a lot of them, but there are some.

I was looking at the Highway Use Tax on your bill of sale and it's around 3% of the selling price of your car which is not bad at all. I live in Missouri and we are charged a state and county sales tax on the purchase price of a new or used vehicle which totals about 6% where I live and then we have to pay a yearly personal property tax on the same vehicle which is a total ripoff but that's another story. If your 3% Highway Use Tax of $1703.37 is in lieu of a state and county sales tax that's a pretty good deal. Congratulations on your new Supra!

Dealers are actually making profits these, which means if you can negotiate, you won’t have to deal with them trying all the ‘add ons’ to make back end on the car. I really think we are going to have to wait for the corvette to come out to see how it will affect all sports cars from $50 to $100k in terms of depreciation. If it exceeds expectations there may be an exodus to the corvette leaving other sports cars struggling to sell. 2.9 seconds to 60 and over 1g is going to be hard to compete with. I really see the Supra needing to incentivise to sell the Supra to keep sales strong once the corvette is out. I predict $11,000 depreciation and a $3,500 purchase incentive when the vette drops.

Well I don't really care about the upgrades with the 2021. Doesnt seem like much to be mad about. Hindsight, I wish I bought my car now, because brand new 2020's are going for like $4k less then what I paid, and offer 0% interest. So if I sold mine now, I'd lose a solid $8k including the sales tax I paid. If I traded it in at a dealer I'd lose well over $10k. So I'll definitly be keeping it for at least 2 years and get my moneys worth out of it.

You can have money invested into various items that can earn you a return higher than the interest paid on a loan. If you get a loan with 0% interest. Might as well finance the entire loan and invest the rest to make money on your money

How do you feel about the changes to the 2021 Supra?

Not really impressed. The power comes on later in the RPM range which makes the car feel laggy in low RPM. And, 2021 model year Supras built after July 2020 can not be tuned at all. ECU is locked. My Supra currently is full bolt ons with 450 WHP and 560 WTQ. And you can buy a new 2020 for like $5k less then a new 2021 Supra. At $20k over sticker or more you would have to be an idiot to buy this car. For MSRP it will do fairly well on your channel for a few months. However, it won’t last forever. Come next year when the C8 comes out you will be looking to sell it. That is ok since you are getting a C8 for the channel as well.

While the auto is faster, the 8 speed automatic shifts way too fast especially at slower speeds. By the time I'm going 35 mph it's already in 7th or 8th, like really? A manual would make it more fun!

Seems really good. In normal mode the suspension does a great job absorbing bumps. Sport mode is extremely stiff. I now have the H&R lowering springs and its still just as comfortable in normal mode. But much more stable in sport mode

What does paying over sticker mean?

In some cases with new models, the dealer will mark the car up. MSRP would be say $55,000, the dealer just adds $10,000 to the price because they can and now you are paying 10k over sticker, before tax, tags, title, etc... Sticker is MSRP. A lot of dealers tend to do it with high demand big money cars. The key is finding a dealer that doesn't charge over MSRP, they are out there, but may take some calling around.
