The biggest mistake you can make is to compare your locs or potential locs to someone else’s. Just enjoy how your hair will evolve as your hair locs up. Everyone has a different experience

Please be aware that after year of getting retights every 6- 8 weeks your crown could possibly start thinning. Our hair isn't designed to be pulled/ snatched into grids. I went from a full head of SL to some thinning on my crown and the front hair line. I switched to knotted locs after about four years and saved my locs, the best decision I truly made. Your locs are so beautiful, please stay visual about the beauty and retights ✌🏾

Thanks you! And yes. That is a possibility. I’m 4 years in now and my edges are doing well. We don’t pull my hair/locs tight when I get a retightening and I don’t pull on them when I put my hair back in any type of ponytail. I usually loosen up the locs on my edges. I can’t deal with the tugging.
