So far the safest place township to live at within Metro Manila is the BGC. Nice choice though it's a bit expensive, especially among locals. You and your girlfriend can really survive since you're both young professionals. Especially her studying graphic design, which is one of the most sought-after skills employable in the country. The place is a flood-free township since it is ground-elevated and the soil type is so hard called Adobe, not Adobo. Adobe is a soiled rock in nature and it's really really hard ground composition. Commonly found in the highest areas of Taguig and Makati as well.

That’s pretty cheap compare to living here in the USA which is $1500 or more for 1 bedroom not including utility bills and groceries. That’s the reason why some Americans choose to retired in the Philippines because the value of the dollar’s equivalent to Philippines money is so much more.

BGC is not a fake Manila. BGC is in Taguig, which is a city in Metro Manila. Compared to BGC, Manila looks older because it has been a long period of time in existence while BGC is a very new city and just exist for a few years and of course more modern and clean. Just imagine a building that has not been renovated for more than 50 yrs. Wouldn’t it be looking old and dirty because it has been exposed to Manila weather and all sorts of people living there. It’s not right to say that BGC is a fake. Be nice and just appreciate of a modern city. Living here in California, just made me realized that not all you see in the movie is really as nice as the reality in Los Angeles district. There are also nice places, but not as nice as BGC. The malls here are nothing compared to the malls in Manila, like MOA or SM city or AYALA malls all over Metro Manila. It’s very ordinary here going to malls here in LA. I just appreciate the beauty of some places there in Manila as I have seen in various KZbin channels from foreigner bloggers who actually love the Philippines, just because they had no places like they’ve seen in the Philippines. Actually in other countries they also have great places but I think foreigners appreciate BGC because it’s such a nice city and more affordable to be there in so many ways.

BGC is "pedicured" Manila because it's actually an upscale private real estate development coowned by the government and Ayala corporation. So it's not an organic type of development at all, it really is "branded" private real estate development, it's like living in an upscale HOA but on a bigger scale.

Yes, but that doesn’t explain anything about BGC being called Fake Manila. I would guess that BGC is being called Fake Manila because it’s more developed than the actual capital city, Manila City. Mostly, people expect the capital to be the most developed. So BGC appears like it is the capital city when it’s really not.

BGC is part of Metro Manila. It is "aspirational" Manila, no it is reality already since it was made possible if our leaders do things right. Now, there are many township developments in other parts of Metro Manila and in several major cities of the Philippines. Eventually, we will get there. There are many things being built like the new international airport, the subway (which will have stops in BGC), the rail system from Clark to Laguna. Also, Clark is another development that is envisioned to be like BGC, but 10 times bigger. There is much to look forward to in the next 5 to 7 years.

There has been times that we spend over 200,000P or more if we travel in country. Those that say they can live in the Philippines on $1200.00 USD per month are eating and sleeping on the street.

That AC unit in BR gonna be costly right? Videos say stay away from the square units. Usually older n noisier too.

@TimTTravels Жыл бұрын
It was 230 for two though 😊 but yeah bgc is definitely not the cheapest option 😅

on my own point of view... foreigners should secure their monetary stability in their respected country (like having a career for example a remote job) never trust too much and most of all be ready at all times

Where did you go to find your rental?

I love PickUp coffee. Yes, PhP 50,000 should be an okay budget for one person. I don’t live in BGC since I’m a local who grew up and lived elsewhere in the capital but it’s a nice place to go to from time to time (prefer to hang around Ortigas Center/Greenhills). BGC as “fake Manila”? I can interpret it this way: that it’s not representative of the capital. I don’t agree that it’s “fake”. It’s just a very modern township that used to be a military area.

Bro, I know you said on the vlog what your building is but won't give away your unit number for safety but in your previous vid, you kind of gace your unit number away by showing the unit number across yours 🥹. Stay safe and I hope to see you around BGC!!

you can rent a whole house here in parañaque or las piñas(part of metro manila) which cost 13-18k but you do you.
@kiane9465 Жыл бұрын
Which is a lifestyle downgrade. Worked in BGC and it is definitely home of the passionate minds. You’re paying for the business connections, retail and commercial hotspots and not just for a place to stay.
@randommercenary7848 Жыл бұрын
@@kiane9465 true , but if he wants more viewers and experience real metro/manila vlog somewhere else since a lot of foreigners already vlog most part of bgc.

That's pretty reasonable. I am planning to retire in the Philippines.

Are there Western "luxuries" you're missing in BGC? Like reliable infrastructure without blackouts, tumbler, hot water, aircon....
@siveriano867 ай бұрын
so how much does they pay?
@darlcandia659810 ай бұрын
Biy Disc o Bed or camping cots. They're collapsible.

So 50,000 pesos includes rent and everything you're talking about the whole 9 yards, rent, utilities, food gymn etc.. in BGC area?

Lol no way. His rent is 35K by itself. 50K is not enough.for his expenses in BGC.
