A realistic one? Does this mean that an average Singaporean earns $15000 per month. This guy is rich
@rayne53682 жыл бұрын
Yes it is becoming more expensive... highly agree!

Thanks for sharing. Think we are lucky that our CPF would service mortgage loans which most in other cities would pay around 30% income on rental. Just as comment, probably good to optimize utilities, which is quite high for 4 persons (4-room HDB flat), which I could do within $100, even with aircon on most times. Would expect utilities prices to continue rising due to global situation. I would also save on household cleaning by design for easier to clean & use automation.
@jasperhofinance Жыл бұрын
Agreed, thankfully mortgage is something that we no need to worry much about. Thanks for your tips! Will look at cutting back on some expenses especially now that prices are rising and i think some spending may have increased.

Since you have a car that you need to pay COE for, wouldn't it be correct to add COE / 60 months (5 years) as a monthly expense?

Hey Jasper. I am a single mother of two. One is autistic. I would like to migrate with both kids. How are the expenses for autism therapy and schools. Please let me know. If I have an offer of 9.5K SGD per month, is this sufficient? Thanks.

CAR in Singapore is NEVER a necessity. $1800 a month on grocery?! That is very high! Early intervention for special need is very expensive in Singapore. Tuition is not a necessity.

For families whom don’t earn so much income how do they manage?
@jasperhofinance Жыл бұрын
Hi there! For a start, perhaps look for side hustle to get more income. Secondly, would be good to budget and track spending to have to a clearer picture of the current situation :)

Sorry I don’t understand - you own the HDB flat outright, so no mortgage?
@jasperhofinance2 жыл бұрын
Yes we do have a mortgage loan. I’m only adding up the cash expenses. The mortgage is paid using our CPF :)

@@jasperhofinance thanks! BTW, can you say how much you are paying in income taxes and property taxes?
@jasperhofinance2 жыл бұрын
@@dolbow Good point you have since taxes are also part of expenses haha, but i guess it varies because of the various tax reliefs/rebates and so on..

@@arieskobelappay8055 CPF is Singapore's social security scheme :) I'm not too updated on the prices but probably we are looking at SGD 2M for a 4 bedroom private condo.

@jasperhofinance2 жыл бұрын
Ok, just an estimate. Renting 1 room would be at least $600-800 (could be more as rates are rising). 3 meals a day probably another $10+. These are super basic necessities. Not forgetting transport, medical and etc which could vary
