Let's see how much money it takes to live in Las Vegas..
What your guess? Of course every body is different and we all spend our money differently. Living in Las Vegas at one point was a piece of cake, but as more and more people keep moving here, it's gotten much more expensive. I'm hoping this video helps a little to see what my daily and monthly expenses are when in comes to living in Las Vegas. My expenses may be a little different since I am a single girl, I live alone, I'm not married, and no kids, so whatever income I make, I only spend on myself and my KZbin Channel. Hope you enjoy!

Norma...I love your videos and you are a wonderful lady, but $1930 per month for 700 sf? Oh goodness, I have a 1950 sf home in a very nice gated community across the street from Summerlin and Faith Lutheran, and my mortgage with association fees is about $1600. I just did a search (as I have been in real estate for an eon) and there are about 2 dozen condos in the general Lakes, Peccole Ranch area that have 2 bedrooms about 900-1200 sf, that rent for $1400, with some others at $1200. You could probably save $6000 per year on rent, which for 5 years would be $30,000. Your gym membership of $1400 per year! Coming from my Jewish Heritage....Oy Vey! Have you checked out LVAC on Flamingo and 215? $98 per year, and they have an incredible amount of classes, spin, yoga, pilates, HIT, Zumba, cross fit type, and there is a pool and a steam room. I had a special deal, but maybe LVAC is around $240 per year? If you rented a less expensive condo in a nice area (and convenient location for shopping and restaurants near Summerlin and getting on the 215 to hit the strip) and went to LVAC, you could save about $7500 per year, But you could invest your $7500 annual savings with a guaranteed rate of around 4.5% right now and likely save around $40,000 in five years. But, when you have saved about $20,000 you could buy a home (3.5% of the sales price to purchase a home but you need some cash in reserve). Wait and let real estate go down this year, and then next year interest rates should start declining, where it might be a good time to purchase. When you own a home you could have a mortgage interest deduction that could result in additional tax savings, perhaps another $1000-$4000 depending upon your personal circumstances. If you wanted to rent a room and take $600 off of your mortgage payment every month, you could generate $7200 per year, while paying down your mortgage. Then the cool thing is from when you purchase a home, if real estate were to appreciate on average by 6% a year, in 12 years it would be double in value. You could create several hundred thousand dollars of wealth....providing there is appropriate appreciation. You just saw homes increase from a median price of about $310,000 in April, 2020 to $482,000 in May, 2022. Over a 50% increase in a short time, which is absolutely crazy, but that is why 6% over 12 years can be reasonable, but one never knows. Now the median price of a home is $425,000, it well could be about 10% lower if not more by the end of this year. Norma.....I have truly enjoyed your many videos and you are absolutely a wonderful and fun lady whom I hope will realize great success, for which you are seeing on KZbin. In case you might notice I have a long background (career) in real estate and finance, and actually taught economics and finance at university. If there is ever anything I could do that would benefit you....please let me know, no charge ever! I would just love to see you not only having a great life, as you are living that now, but also financially that you would be doing amazingly well. If you would like, let me know, and I can send you my contact info. Love your videos and wish you the very, very best.

Norma! Thanks so much for your honesty. It can be so hard to talk money. We just got back from Vegas and your videos were indispensable! We really enjoyed our $5.99 lunch at Ocean one (my boyfriend kept calling it ocean blue :) Our day trip to Grand Canyon west/Skywalk was amazing! While we did a lot and had a good time, there's still so much more I wanted to do so we will just have to plan another trip!

Good job elevating your YT content/production. I would separate your personal and business (YT) expenses differently but I understand you including that amount in the video. I would start investing in an accountant (taxes) and/or educate yourself more about personal finances (personal and business), if you aren't already. Glad to see you grow from last year to this year. The gym is paying off! Keep up the good work in your personal life and YT content/production. Hot Chocolate and Marshmallows

Norma, I have been watching your channel for quite sometime and I think you're content is outstanding. I have watched many other KZbinrs who have grown over time and have started doing more outlandish and crazy content. I can no longer relate to them and pretty much have stopped watching their channels. You have something special and will no doubt be in the million + sub range. There will be more $$$ coming in and the opportunity to do more, but please keep it real like you always do!

Nice video Norma but just a few thoughts (suggestions). I think you should consider carving out the YT related expenses. These are primarily business expenses and are probably better suited for discussion around building and growing a YT channel. Could be part of a whole new video series! Just a thought, just a thought. Regarding your regular expenses. Most look relatively normal, however, you may want to keep an eye on those Amazon and misc expenses. Speaking from experience, these can get out of control quickly! The good news is tthat these are also the ones we can generally fix more easily. And finally regarding the "new" car. Not a great idea unless you're having issues with your current ride. A new car will just add to your expenses (new car payment, higher car insurance ) unnecessarily. Consider Investing that money or at put it in a high yield saving account. You can always revisit the idea later as you channel revenue grows. I understand the desire to get that shinny new toy but in the end its probably not worth it. Anyway, sorry for the long winded comment. Hope it helps! Look forward to running into you on my next trip to LV!

Norma , great video! Most of the breakdows of what you spend in a month living in vegas did not surprise me at all. What stood out to me was that you pay $293.45 a month on health insurance. I believe a lot of people do not realize how expensive health insurance can be when you purchase on your own. It would probably be a lot more if you were older and not in good health.

The walls are so naked did you ever think of becoming a journalist you are great at what you do as for a vehicle. you would look good in a brand new Honda Civic. If you get the bronco you’re going not going to have the best gas mileage at 3:50 a gallon for gas. Also, we live in a two bedroom apartment me and my 26 year old son Eddie Hope to see you in July other than that you’re very informative of Las Vegas. We love it.🌴🌴🌴

Those all sound pretty reasonable to me, but you're way more of a Vegas expert than I am. Hiring people was probably a really smart choice. You put out a lot of content and I feel like having people to handle the editing and the filming probably free up a crazy amount of time while simultaneously helping up the quality and reducing burnout. My food budget is pretty comparable to yours, but I also eat out way too much.
@satoristeve
@satoristeve Жыл бұрын
I also like having no car payments, so I save till I get to whatever down payment keeps my monthly payments at or below $300, then budget $500/month toward it. I tend to keep it pretty spartan tho, which is fine since I work from home. Because driving around town is basically a business expense for you, the Bronco might make extra sense from a tax perspective and just a quality-of-life perspective. jimo/dy

I kept my expenses low when I lived in Las Vegas by just sharing a space. Take the smaller room. Once in a while I'd kick in more for larger electric bills in the summer. Right now living in Colorado I think I'm under $2500 a month which includes rent, car payment, auto insurance, Xfinity Internet, Amazon Prime & Audible, Verizon and Fitness Center and food. Greetings Queen. You can ask your car insurance to give you a quote for a year, 18 months or two years. Each costs less. They assume you have a good driving record during that time and take depreciation of your vehicle into account. Some insurance places won't want to do it, saying you don't have an insurable interest. You can take your car ownership certificate to the bank and ask for a 1000 loan for two years, and then they have to insure you for two years. Then you can take the 1000 back to the bank and pay off the note after one month, having accomplished your objective. Blessings! Keep up the great work.

It would have been great to have two sub-totals - 1) normal living, & 2) business expenses... ....however, I hope that the reason you didn't make this split, is so that your accountant can maximise your tax rebate!

Being from California we understand the $1900/month, but it may be hard to swallow for others. This is half what you would pay in So Cal or Nor Cal. Stick with your paid off Hyundai. Having debt if you don't need to is an Americam affliction, the mental freedom is worth it, plus you have a good car. And the car you want is not a good one if you want to not spend more money on repairs and crappy quality. Your healthcare premium may seem like a lot but it is actually a very decent premium, along with your auto insurance is very normal You are doing just fine-money is a tool to enable you to live your way, and you are doing just that! You work hard!

Norma! WOW, that's quite a bill for January 2023. Maybe some cutting back lol but only $50 for hair care, that's a saving since you always look good. Have a Good Day! Dj Mucho

I do not live in Vegas...but looking at how nice and spacious your apartment is and all the amenities and what's included, I feel that $1900 a month is very reasonable........ My problem is the gym fees, which is way too much. $10 a month at Planet Fitness does the job..with ton of equipments..... Good luck...and thanks for the video 👍❤

Oh norma you have to start cutting back and saving money. I'm a Vegas local who is married and has 3 boys. Our outgoing monthly is only $3500 and that includes eating out, groceries, gas, and Amazon. Our house payment is lower ($1200) but other than that It's about budgeting. $700+ for fast food is craziness. Trust me as someone who lived carelessly as a younger adult, this is the time you should be careful and save. I know since you are making more it feels easy to spend more, but start watching what you spend every month. Make a spreadsheet and track it. It will make you more accountable.

When you said you bought a massage gun, I could see that. In recent videos we saw your massage experience at the Consumer Electronics Show. Then you and Lydia getting chair massages during the $100 date. And most recently the two of you enjoying a massage experience at The Flamingo. Perhaps you could do a future video about the best spas in Las Vegas? A great way to mix business with pleasure!😃
