Because the costumes are incredibly gorgeous that some people thought they must have cost Đức a fortune. Anyway, whatever Plastique Tiara spent on her wardrobe, that is a great business investment because she would put on runway performance shows around the world. I wonder how much of the expense is tax deductible (work clothes).

Tbf, they all got 75K to go on the season, and Plastique is one of the few that could put up 175K and not really bat an eye. I thought her total was closer to 150, though.

I assume people make these estimates by looking up all of the designers she commissioned and what their average rates are, but as Plastique alluded to in the video, if you’re friends or a frequent client of a designer you get a significant discount or even get it for free. It does mildly rub me the wrong way when Drag Race queens known for their runways go “I would never spend that much money because I don’t have that much money, what silly rumors!” Having a lot of money is helpful but having connections is priceless. An average Joe would probably have to pay $250k to get pieces that extravagant, if they have the hopes of commissioning from famous designers at all.

The conversion rate from the USD to VND (Vietnamese Dong) is actually very good. I can see how each of the runway full set costed her $1500-$3500 not including shipping so she wouldn’t be spending $250K for her whole package. So take it as a #protip: out source and get your fancy costumes made in Southeast Asia. Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines are notoriously good at making quality stage/runway costumes. Just be mindful of the currency exchange when making your choice.

Can u PLEASE do a hairline and include some FAB pieces that are still high quality but we fans who are living for you, and trying to live for ourselves and true potential/best life, but also happen to live check to check and are looking to get into shows to help us express and live our fullest dreams and potentials by bringing our fantasies into reality and and prayerfully leave the check to check life behind.
