My ultimate goal is to only buy books I've already read and love but didn't own it when I read it! Buuut my recent Book Outlet sale splurge thwarted that goal this year lol. However, all but 2 of the books I bought are ones I've been wanting to read for a while.💰Not including audiobooks, I've spent $100 so far this year.

That's not bad at all. I look at books as a hobby and it's entertainment. You could go to the movies and spend $30 on 1 movie that lasts 2 hours, or spend $30 on 1 or 2 books that could keep you entertained for days.

I use libraries and am gifted KU every month so for me reading is free, but that’s just because I’m a broken bookworm and I don’t care about physical copies anymore 😂 that being said I’m always curious how much other people spend, it’s such a huge range which is super cool to see Omg yes please I’d love to hear about monetization and income. I know it’s a touchy subject for a lot of KZbinrs but I always want to learn about it!

It's not realistic for me to go on a "book buying ban", because I buy used books or library sale books and specific books in those sales are not always available at all times. Obviously I also need to buy books to have for my videos. However, I am more intentional and selective with my book buying this year.

I try not to go on book buying bans anymore because I always end up buying significantly more books than I would've right after the ban ends. And that makes it pretty pointless haha.
