How much insulation should you use when installing new windows for your home? Tod & Todd explain how the amount used comes down to the type of installation techniques you’re using for your windows. Read more about one option, full-frame window replacement on our blog here: www.weathertightcorp.com/blog...
The installation technique you opt to use for your windows will have an impact on the amount, and type of insulation you’ll use on your home. Pocket installation keeps the existing jamb in place, and while you can add insulation, there can occasionally be air gaps that aren’t insulated enough. Full frame installation removes the jamb and creates a new frame down to the rough opening. This allows both spray foam and insulation to be used to create an air and water-tight seal.
Whatever type of installation is best for you, let Weather Tight help you replace your windows to ensure they’re sufficiently insulated. Visit www.weathertightcorp.com for more information.
