Hey, just to let you know - you confuse a word medical intern (who is a internal medicine trainee and earns after deduction of taxes around 1000 euros/month of basic salary plus roughly 170 euros/shift) with a post-graduate internship intern (who earns after taxes 800 euro/month+ roughly 100 euro/shift) IT IS ALSO A BIASED REVIEW, as you don`t take cost of living into consideration - for example cost of petrol in UK is 40% more expensive than in Poland. Uou got caught on the first impression of the numbers they give you in job descriptions, especially in Switzerland! On the other hand the fact, that a foreign doctor needs to pay (!!!) for work during post-graduate internship in Poland is really bad - the truth is, that it shows the attitude of the government towards foreign doctors - this will change, but it will be a long process...!

This isn't a good place for young doctors, we are losing a lot of people due to brain drain from neighboring richer countries. There were massive protests of residents not long ago, not much has improved and the shortage of staff grows larger and larger. My friend who studies here was an intern in France so i guess it's doable abroad, provided you know the language.

You have to do it to get an Md diploma

no PLAB anymore, if you do 6 years medical school you get into FY1 and if you do internship after 6th year you have to do it in Polish and then you get into FY2

Your school calendar wouldn’t match with another university, you can opt to go for Erasmus program for your 6th year in another school but it would be really complex.
