Before you scrap flatware if it's in good condition do some research a lot of the times it's worth more than scrap and sometimes it's worth a lot more than scrap I've seen one tea spoon sell for over $200. And definitely do not sell your scrap to these people they're going to rip you off majorly

sterling flatware will be marked on the handles of forks,spoons, knives are usually marked sterling where the blade and handle meet sterling is 92.5 pure sometimes they are marked 92.5 and sometimes just sterling.
