Enjoyed watching that splitter work. We don't see a lot of Locust that size in our area, usually it's a little smaller but it's great firewood. Years ago most of it was split into fence and vineyard end post. Every spring we wack em with a maul about 3 times to reseat after the winter frost heave. Really enjoying your videos, thanks!

Locust is great wood, that is some big stuff. that splitter makes short work of it. There is a very old poem about wood. The last 2 lines say" but ash wood wet, or ash wood dry, a king shall warm his slippers by. It is probably the best overall wood to burn. It has to be very gone, not to burn well. If it crumbles when you try to slit it, it is no good. Otherwise it is great.

Would it be better to have your trailers perpendicular to the conveyor, so the grizzly discharge doesn't go into the trailer, but into a scrap bin?

Yes if my yard were laid out differently it would. Now I have an ibc tote bladder that I cut the bottom out of. I lay it in the trailer under the grizzly bars and slid it back as the trailer fills. That catches the debris
