Where I live the easiest way to get into the inspection business and make money is to spend the $600 for a class that certifies you. Really learn it and residential inspections in Maine pay $350 to $850 with septic and water testing. You can work for yourself once you've worked for someone else. Just dedicate yourself and get out there and make that money 😊

I think you’re referring to a home inspector.
@iammanna Жыл бұрын
@@tevingriffin6036 yes I am, but if the goal is teaching others how to make money, I was just casting it out there. Can be lucrative while fairly easy to get off the ground. Maybe Im in the wrong sector over here, but just my experience. Hopefully someone can use the info. 😊

Definitely! A certified home inspector can Definitely be lucrative. Many ppl are starting from zero & some don't have much to invest in a training course for certification. If ppl have the funds, I'd say go for it. If they don't have the funds but want to be a home inspector, field inspections would be a great way to build income, save & then become certified as a home inspector. Regardless of the route one takes, the goal is to build your skills so you can make more. Thank you for bringing that idea to the forefront for people.

Ppl are confusing building inspections that require building construction knowledge with these types of preliminary property inspections. I understand the confusion but they're completely different.

Hi sweetheart I'm in Florida we get paid $300 per inspection for basic so if you're making one to $200 a week we are getting screwed
@ItsOurTimeToBeFree3 ай бұрын
Nice! $300 per inspection. What type of inspections are those if you don't mind sharing? Most inspections I know about that pay those amounts are specialty inspections and require licensing or special training. So I was curious

Great video! How long did it take you to get beyond that newbie phase and how much money were you making at that point?
@ItsOurTimeToBeFree6 ай бұрын
It was a short while. I'd say I had been doing residential mortgage inspections for about a year before I began looking at other income streams within the same industry. At that point, I was making minimum $2k per month but I was working HARD to get that. I wanted to work less but get paid more so thats when I started exploring my options to make that happen.

What exactly is a residential field inspector? Is it like a home inspector?
@ItsOurTimeToBeFree7 ай бұрын
Field inspector is a generic term for anyone who goes out into the field to complete tasks. The inspections I teach are included as field inspections. We simply go out & photograph properties and report the visual conditions. A home inspector provides more indepth information regarding a property and must be licensed & insured.

I am interested, But My fear is,if I’m going alone into unoccupied old homes or buildings, while Im inspecting..will I encounter a big spider/bugs or rodents or crazy squatter‼️ have you ever had that experience and what did you do?
@ItsOurTimeToBeFree7 ай бұрын
Honestly yes. You could run into rodents, animals, spiders & possibly vagrants. Vagrants were rare but occasional while I was inspecting residential vacant homes. But times are changing & that may change as well. Most times though when I'm out inspecting I don't run into much nowadays. But you have to consider the type of area being serviced. Highly populated city areas will see the most issues with pests, vagrants etc. Safety is always 1st. You have to do what feels right to you

I've been watching your videos and I'm interested in getting in the field. Do you believe it's harder for a female in this field? I live in California and a lot of the job listing i see there requiring for you to have some sort of trade like plumping and or carpeting.
@ItsOurTimeToBeFree Жыл бұрын
Thanks for reaching out & watching my videos. I don't believe it's harder for females. California may have some restrictions but I'm not sure on California laws. However, I haven't heard of any issues in Cali requiring a trade for this. I would start out with small gigs until you get familiar with doing inspections. Check out companies like Velocity REOs, WeGoLook, IVueIt, Photoinspection.com, Proxy Pics They are easy to get on with. I'm not sure if work is in your area but it's worth checking out. These companies offer different inspection types so it'll give you a good idea of what inspections you prefer to do & you can move forward from there. I hope that helps 🙏

200 dollars a week? Did I hear that right or was I not paying attention?
@bzb14416 ай бұрын
And is that due to not having clients? Or what is that due to? Please respond. Because I’m sitting here thinking you have to try to only make 200 in a week to make that happen.
@ItsOurTimeToBeFree6 ай бұрын
Yes $200/week is on the low end with not a lot of volume jobs from a company or not having enough companies to work with. The possibilities are endless if you're willing to do the research for companies that work well in your area.

5k ? Month where ?
@ItsOurTimeToBeFree7 ай бұрын
You can work your way up to it. 5k is not a starting point. It's the potential in this industry. You contract with companies that provide inspection services of properties. You take pictures of those properties & report what you see. No degree. No licenses. It's a hustle game. Find the right companies & know your stuff & 5K/month becomes easily attainable.
