How Much Money Can You Make in GTA Online's IMPORT/EXPORT DLC? Is It Worth It? | Review and Overview

In today's video we take a look at the profitability of GTA Online's new Import / Export DLC. This video provides an overview and my honest opinion on the new features offered by this update. I explain the maximum payout you can receive, as well as a more realistic estimate, as you buy and sell exotic supercars with your CEO organization. Is this DLC worth it? How much money can you make? That's really up to your situation.

Assuming you have equal chance between std, mid, and top ranges
where STD = $30k, MID = $50k, and TOP = $80k
Average payout per sell mission = (30k + 50k + 80K) / 3 = $53.3k
Average payout per hour = 53.3k * 3 = $160k
Deduct damage costs = 160k - 5k = $155k

Yes if there is at least one other player in session they dont spawn. What we do is we found 2 safe spots near the warehouse (cheapest one) , and park the cars while we take out the NPCs.

PRO TIP: Sourcing and selling standard and mid range vehicles is a waste of time due to their low payouts. Since sourcing costs you nothing and you are sent a text telling you the range immediately after leaving your CEO computer, if you do not get a top range vehicle all you have to do is join a new session. This will cancel the source mission and there will be no cooldown when you try to source again. Keep doing this until you get a top range vehicle. Also if you have the accommodation upgrade you can spawn in your office and be able to do this very quickly! :D

AMEN - Fun is the key element here. With the crate missions you have to worry about raids & the prossibility of having to navigate the ocean in a tugboat for 15/20 minutes (not fun). The biker product sell missions suffer from this similar prossibility; driving a mail truck or garbage truck around for 15 minutes IS NOT FUN. Perhaps you can make more money, but I play the game because I enjoy it. Import/Export allows you to drive cool cars and make decent money from it. Hey, that's fun.

For real man I feel like I waste so much time on stealing supplies and I can never deliver it all because I can't find anyone to help me run cargo across the map for 20 mins. It's all still really cool to me that they added any of this though. Gta 5 could have been as bleak as GTA 4 online but all this shit was cool to discover. I finally just got back into gta online and it's a whole to new game.

Good video, except for one thing: if you have associates with you, each selling a car, the cooldown will increase based on how many cars you sell at one time, with a 20 minute cooldown solo, 30 minutes with 1 associate, 40 minutes with 2 associates, and 50 minutes with 3 associates, so you definitely cannot make 960,000 an hour with 3 associates, as you can only do about one shipment an hour. Another thing worth mentioning too, as it increases the maximum payout is that during the cooldown you can do races, missions, vip work, etc to make more money an hour

The steal missions actually have a cool down, but it's really insignificant; something like 2 mins or so.

I did that mission with the cargobob. its very simple, just fly as quick as possible to shore and land the cargobob. Shoot the two buzzards after you and get in the car and drive back. No buzzards will spawn if you are not in a helicopter.

Frírek they shoot you up well before you can put the car down on stable ground, and when I did it, Buzzards spawned non stop, regardless of whether I was driving or flying.

Now i havent done much with this dlc yet but as far as i know there are 2 ways to sell more than 1 car at a time. you can choose up to 4 or 5 cars at random from your warehouse or you can sell a set of 2-5 cars and the sets give a bonus, however you need more ppl to do this tho, and just like you i play mostly alone and only have 1 friend who actually plays the game actively. But still this was a great vid keep up the good work, and thx for tips on VIP missions on pvt servers, that i did not know. HUGE thumbs up mate :)

love ya videos on the way to play gta 5 solo. there is actually a really good trick to this dlc. basically, start out collecting all cars from the missions and sell a top car once every 20mins. after a while you should have more mid/low range cars just chilling in ya warehouse, this actually increases the chances of you getting a top range car to steal since the game tries to make you have a 1/3 split of each car range. after a while you should get to the point where you almost constantly get top range cars. i found i can steal 3 cars in the space of 20min. with my current warehouse i usually get x2 top range cars and x1 mid/low each 3 missions since i have stacked up a decent amount of mid/low tier cars. this means after doing it for an hour i get 6 top range cars and sell 3 leaving 3 in the warehouse. this means that for the next hour i can sell each top range car every 20min for about 220k profit. during this second hour i do vip missions when waiting for a cool-down. i found that with the car missions i do around 3 less vip missions during the second hour. if you follow the rates you stated on your vip mission money per hour it means ill get around 175k + the 220k leaving a total of around 395k during the second hour. this means after 2 hours of playing ill generate around 615k which is just over 300k per hour. this is 50k more per hour than just doing vip missions over and over again and makes the game much less of a grind. thats why i have so much lovee for this dlc :)

Unfortunately I don't, all the last few updates (Finance and Felony, Bikers, and now Import/Export) provide awful payout for your associates. One idea however is you could do a VIP mission or two in between any buy or sell mission. Everyone in the organization gets about 21-25k with those.

I've made over $17M with Vehicle Cargo. Named my CEOs with car in the the title so people would join more often : Cars for Stars and Cars and Crates. People like running cars and if you get the maximum damage $34k for (Top Vehicles) you can still make a profit with that car.

the downside of an empty public lobby is hostile NPCs will spawn most of the time chasing you while you're selling. so i prefer getting into a lobby with 4/5 people that seems friendly

Keep 10 low range and 10 mid range cars, no duplicates (same car, different customizations) And every time you source a vehicle it will be top range. Just keep it under 12 top range cars or you’ll start to source duplicates.
