Thanks for sharing! It's too bad that some yoga teachers attach a lot of shame around making money; as if earning a good living somehow makes their yoga offerings dishonest or "impure." I agree that it is possible to earn a decent income teaching yoga if you learn the business side and work really hard! :)

This is just superb, I've been looking for "what are the main principles of yoga" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Fonylan Inconceivable Future - (search on google )? It is a smashing one off guide for discovering how to get your sexiest body without the hard work. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my mate got cool success with it.

A quick background on me; I served 7 years in prison for a shooting I was involved in when I was in my teens. While in prison I got involved in a program that fellow inmates had started and instructed. After about 3 years of practicing yoga about 1 to 4 times a week I was asked to become the instructor of the program since the current teacher was being released soon. So I agreed and I taught 1 hour sessions 4 times a week. I am now back in society as a rehabilitated man and I'm interested in instructing yoga as a side hustle. What would be the best way to go about it? I am not lucky enough to start a studio just yet and I'm also wondering if being open with my students about my past would hinder my success in teaching yoga.

Great! Go for it Roberto... I would start with Meetup.com group (run by you), some gigs in a studio, and a private client group. Great way to get started.

Funny enough in the beginning I thought about the money I could make but once I got my certification for 200 hours I wanted to learn more and not teach. My yoga studio keeps telling me they want me to teach because they want a guy instructor but its just nice to learn about it. I want to bring a more therapeutic type yoga one that helps people release everything negative about themselves and shows them all the great things around them. (I did that in teacher training talking about love and everyone in the class cried)
