I actually had it up to £1400 at one stage. In one day I got £480. Pure luck though. One huge slump in crude oil last week wiped me back to the start. I actually forgot to put on my stop loss. I’m using AvaTrade just to learn the ropes, I’m ok with my money going up and down I’m learning. That app lets me use equity so £500 is like £5000 of shares so your profits can go up a lot quicker, down a lot quicker too. It’s not ideal though, watching all these videos and learned so much, but really need to get a proper trading platform but at the moment I’m just picking up the mentality of this all.

You're the most honest day trader i found after a year learning and practicing demo, and 45 days as trader. My feeling is we need to focus on learning, the money is just the consequence of good learning and later on mastering the subject. Never the opposite. After first 100 of losses, we start focus on the Money Management for serious, and only then, we became profitable. Long live to your Toyota Corolla btw. Love from Belgium

I started with $5k over 6 years ago. I was down under $2k at one point. I learned a lot. You've said it many times, but I was lazy and not putting the work in like you have to. Day trading isn't easy, it's a LOT OF WORK. I'm making a living doing it now, but I thought for sure I was going to lose it all at one point. Fortunately, when I started trading I was also working a regular job. Just remember, trading is work... a lot of work. If you aren't ready to put in the work, do the research, and be focused on what's going on in the market... don't waste your time and money.

Finally, I managed to become a breakeven trader with a $2k account which I built up to $3.5k using good risk management, I then added $2k to my account and started using more margin and blew it again - back in McDonalds' full time but won't give up. Great video! Thanks for sharing your experience with us! I started trading during the quarantine in April, and just jumped in without any experience. lost 200 out of the 500 that I started with in ten minutes, because I forgot to un-check the cash box at the TD site. Stayed in and the account is growing from 13% to 18% depending on the day. I am not a day trader or a long term trader, I guess somewhere in the middle... I thought I was doing bad until I saw your video, and for that I thank you, I am feeling better! Keep sharing your videos with us, we are learning from them out here! Thank you!!

Do you know of an app that sounds off an alarm to wake you up when your stock hits a certain price that you set to go off? I fall asleep too much while trading.

I love this channel, I’m a beginner who has been in the market for about 2 weeks. I did some research and learned the software I prefer. So far my 2 options are doing very well (airlines) . I’m happy you mentioned to expect loses!! I lost some money in the first few days, I sat down after and learned the basics of charts, data and news. Small share sizes made me realize how much better I can be in certain fields and How hard trading can be. I definitely love your advice about education and expectation

I open a small account with 5k just to test day trade with options on only the SPY and I turned it into 15k in about two months. I try to buy options on the day of expiry (because it's super cheap 1000-2000 dollars for a 10 lot =1000 shares) at the money and then wait for the 3 bar setups to go in. It's much harder to keep a stop and you have to get in and out faster since the option decays if it goes sideways or against you, but it's a very effective way to trade with small accounts. The idea is to risk 200 with a stop to make at least 400. Note* don't try to do this unless you know how options work, I trade options for years and this is just an account I use to test the strategy.

I just want you to know you make very entertaining vids. Just l like everyone else I'm stuck at home cause of the virus. So I stumbled across one of your vids and just let it play cause Im layin on the couch and got nothing better to do. As I kept watching I noticed you're pretty funny and then I kept more watching your videos. I had no interest at all about day trading and would never try it, but as I kept watching I got more and more curious and interested! Now I'm trying to learn as much as I can and even downloaded a paper trading app to try, and if all said and done I still like it I might even try for real! All from watching a funny girl with "bad jokes" talking about something I have no interest in. Nice work you are very inspiring!!

I’m about to dive into becoming a day trader. I see a lot of people commenting that you need to lose money in order to learn from your mistakes to become profitable. What if i only ever put in $50, or $100, not really focusing on my returns money wise, but focusing on the percentages instead? And not put in large amounts of money until my percentages of win/lose ratio are in my favor?

New to watching your videos, but my favorite thing so far is when you show the charts to show what a trader is thinking that sets them up for a bad trade. Funny and true. It helps to see it in action.

One of the element of Day traders is discipline, not an easy job. Your videos highlighted many areas in common, thanks very much and still learning and improving.
