Thank you for being real! I've been doing embroidery just through FB and word of mouth and have done a few hundred dollars a month. Started with a cheap Singer EM200 and after 8 months upgraded to a Viking Designer Brilliance 80 and have started doing more and more. This makes me think moving to Etsy is the next logical choice for me and gives me hope (I work part time from home and am not looking to make as much as you did, but I'd love to pay off my machine within the next 10 months!).

I’d love to see your second and third year! I had a successful business for twenty years (had to retire for health reasons) and I shared my numbers with people because it was so encouraging to others. (And in my business, if others did well, I did even better. However, my heart’s motive was to see others be able to work from home and be with their children, too!) I was able to home school our five children with a 30 hour per week young woman who helped in all areas of my life... business, house, kids, schooling, etc. We both loved it! I’m so happy for you. It brings back memories!

It is very generous of you to share that kind of personal information. It is very motivating. I put in so many hours reselling hard goods on ebay to make a fraction of what you did with a one needle machine. I bought my PE-800 before Christmas and have only made a couple gifts on it. It's just been hard to think about cutting off listing on ebay to spend that time instead building an etsy shop. I've just got to jump in and do it. Thank you for motivating us and sharing!

The amount you made, is that after the fees you are charged by Etsy? How much does the equipment cost? How much is the DTG printer and what is the model? Have you done sublimation printing? Do you sell blanks t's or where do you get them? The video that I watched just before this one show the DTG printing...when the shirt is just printed, the ink didn't appear dry. How do you know when to heat press the t-shirt....when the ink is still damp or when it is dry. How many ink colors are there - I see how well the white ink base layer makes such a huge difference. Just wondering if there is white, 3 primary colors, and black for the DTG printers. Is the ink in pre-made cartridges, or do you have bottles of ink to refill. Sorry so many questions, Your products are very professional looking. Great work. If youcan answer some of my questions, that would be great.

Question #2 - do you use one laptop for your accounting/billing records exclusively? If they catch you they will have your listing removed. If they feel like it they can also take you to court and sue you for infringement. This carries over to fonts, images, etc. random house owns Dr. Seuss and i'm unsure about how strict they are. I do know Disney and the NFL or any other sports franchise don't take kindly to people infringing on copyrights. Best way to legally do it is to email licensing show them your products you want to sell and say your a small sell on blah blah blah eCommerce site. The NFL won't hand out licensing unless your ready to pay a few mill for it. There are a few companies that will give you the green light though, for a small fee or maybe even for free if they aren't in the clothing market or have big company license holders that are.
@lsswapeverything25184 жыл бұрын
This is also where have an LLC is important. If you're working off your person you'll be the one getting sued. If its an LLC it'll get sued, not you. Thought that was pretty important to add also.
