You actually ARE a pro runner of you're making money doing it, right? A shoe endorsement contract isn't the only source of income. Most people figure if Nike (I say them because that's what you race in) pays you, you're pro. Otherwise not. But what if you're an NHL player with no endorsement contracts? Still a pro athlete!

@@runnerhabs Good luck! It could be wise to consider a shoe brand even if it's not your favorite. Look at the shoe Ches is in now. Obscure brand, but he went faster than Connor's PR in them, so they must be pretty good. If you keep chasing fast times at big races, someone may come knocking even if it's not Nike.
