I once wrote product review blog posts for $25 an hour for 8 hours a week. The client sent ideas, outlines, SEO keywords, and links to popular products he wanted to include. But a couple of months in, he “didn't have time” and wanted me to come up with blog post ideas, make outlines, find SEO keywords, and research popular products. All in the same matter of time. I ended up working for free a lot because I'm a perfectionist and didn't want to send low-quality work. I should have known better. I won't sell myself that cheap again. 😕

WOW! You really spoke to all the insecurities I have faced. I feel like I'm not good enough to start freelancing and the imposter syndrome just takes over. I decreased my rates to $5 for a headline because I thought that clients would tell me that I am fresher and I am just starting out so I got to lower my prices.
