Thanks for the hreat content. Keep it up. Everytime i hear people talk about how high their electricity cost is i have to slap myself to see if I'm dreaming. My last month electricity was $650 and we're just now getting into our full blown summer. You guys are winning!

We try to keep our costs down by using energy-efficient appliances and being mindful of our usage. It's a challenge, but we're all in this together. Thanks for sharing and for your support!

​@@mars_and_tobiAircon that consumed a lot. I have a three bedroom house here in Seychelles if I used AC costs around 300 euro per month no AC 100 euros per month. Here Electricity is very expensive around 35 pesos per unit or 1 kWh

This was here in Butuan City in Mindanao where we live. It’s in a Subdivision called Lumina Homes and was a fully furnished house for rent.

renting any house in canada will cost you 6k per month and plus 204 dollars for power + 600 dollars for food 475 dollars for car insurance per month + 300 dollars per month water bills and list goes on and on lol

Heating costs can really add up, especially in colder climates, I still remember the winters in Germany. Here in the Philippines, we don’t have to worry about heating, but air conditioning can be a big expense due to the tropical weather. If you decide to spend your winter here, you’ll definitely save on heating, but you might find yourself using the AC a lot! 😄 Thanks for sharing your experience. It’s always interesting to hear about how living costs vary around the world.

Excellent presentation. Liked, subscribed, and rang that bell. Around here in my town (San Francisco, California) everyone complains about their electric bills. Funny thing is, my place faces the water, east. So I get the rising sun hitting my large picture windows, and then all day long because I'm on the top floor (so the roof of the building acts like a large baking pan in the oven). End result, I run the AC almost 24/7. The punchline, my electric bill is $90 monthly. Clearly, we Americans are too spoiled and should stop our whining.

Thanks for your comment. We've actually had pretty good luck with our Starlink during rainy season here. Sure, when it's absolutely pouring, we might see a bit of a slowdown, but it's not as bad as you might think. Most of the time, we can still stream and do our usual stuff online, even when it's pretty wet outside. It's way better than the old satellite internet we used to have, that's for sure!

Please recognise that this is not a critique, simply a comment. I would recommend, from experience, that if you choose to live long-term in the Philippines, you should buy and not rent. My wife and I have lived, with our family, in the Philippines for the past 5 years. We own 3 residential properties, one of which we live in, and the other two garner us an income of PP60,000 pcm in rent - no mortgage or bank loans. We also own 3 commercial properties.We bought our property prior to relocating from HK. Obviously, as we have a family we want stability for the kids. To me, rental payments is wasted money. As we own our properties, they can be passed on to the kids. Our properties are in Antipolo and Theresa, Rizal Province, 90 minutes from Manila, but in the hills.
