@@dimchefilipov9851 I meant that in Italy we pay for the national health care system with taxes, and for that reason we don't have to have health insurance like in the US and If a foreigner in Italy were to be hospitalized, even if he is not an Italian citizen, he would pay nothing. 40 euros for a removal of four wisdom teeth (including all the tests) is obviously not free, but it is very close. In the U.S. it would cost thousands of dollars.

I think like 50€ for the first operation, the cost being for "twilight sleep dentistry" and 0€ for the second one. The necessary stuff is free, like local anaesthesia for numbing. So you can absolutely get your wisdom teeth removed and not have to pay anything. It basically costs extra if you don't want to be conscious. If there are special circumstances so that you absolutely have to have some form of general anaesthesia, you wouldn't even have to pay that. Germany btw. And My operation was about ten years ago but I don't think it changed much. I cannot fathom having to pay that much for necessary operations.

Let me tell you a bit more about dental insurance and how much it costs for dental work. In the US, dental is typically covered by insurance companies, which costs an average of $50 per month (varies by company and plan). However, insurance only covers part of the cost and the annual maximum they pay is around $1,000-$2,000. If I got dental insurance back in 2016, I would have spent much more overall than I did for this visit. That’s why I try to get my teeth fixed somewhere outside the US, where it’s much cheaper than what I pay here. But, I didn’t have a choice this time. Do you have dental insurance?

£70.70 on NHS. However here in UK they are not so keen for full sedition unless you are very anxious patient. Overall, removal of upper 8 is usually done in general dental surgery if is not complicated case, which I would say probably 90-98% . Lower 8 as a different topic, as sometimes roots are in very close approximately to the main dental nerve. In that situation, patients are referred to the dental hospitals, but again... under local anaesthetic. I have impression in USA they are doing general anaesthetic much easier and is more popular than in UK just to justify, why patient ending up with such a high bill. Luckily, we are blessed with NHS 😊😊😊

I'm Italian and found myself having to take out my wisdom tooth urgently (it cut the corner of my gum, then stayed put and bacteria infiltrated and caused me a huge infection and half of my face was swallen), so I went to private practice had it extracted, got 3 stitches, he also cured a cavity on my molar becouse of infection and reconstructed it and he did it so well that it's really hard to tell a difference, 2hrs work in 2 different appointments and it cost me around $360 without any insurance plus that dentist did his specialization in NY on latest techniques before even they were approved by our national sanitary system, so he's really top notch. Plus if you consider that basicly dentists all over the world use same materials and prices of those are pretty much same everywhere, you really always end over paying your health care services.

I understand to show full price but it’s not completely accurate. You also have to show your insurance premium you pay every month and then the copay or deductible you pay for the service. For example using Kaiser permanente HMO we paid $1200/month deducted from my husband’s pay check but never paid anything out of pocket. The only time I ever paid out of pocket was when I gave birth and it was $125 I believe a specialist or services such as physical therapy were $20-25 but we didn’t need these things. Our insurance mainly went to my pregnancies, deliveries, and all the well baby check ups. We tried Kaiser permanente PPO as well as Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO but I did not like PPO and wanted HMO back. The only benefit to PPO is that you don’t need a referral for a specialist. We no longer live in the US but if we were to go back I believe I would go with an HMO plan, personal preference. Also, I got all 4 wisdoms extracted at 16 years old (2014) and my parents said they didn’t pay anything, it was fully covered by insurance. My husband is an immigrant and got all 4 wisdoms extracted in 2018 and he paid $100 out of pocket.

Jezz. In poland it will be something like 200 to 350 dollars with PRF (post extraction dressing made from blood of patient)... About anaethesia - in Poland full sedation is rarely avalaible - dental practioners needs anaesthetist in team to legaly make it. But it will be another 200ish USD

Here in Canada health care is free, however when it comes to dental everything changes. This past week I had to pay $1,400 for the removal of 3 wisdom teeth including the cost of Anesthesia, the Anesthesia costed $358 on its own. CRAZY! Fortunate enough by 2025 dental coverage is changing to provide better service for more Canadian residents

People, here in the US you can also get them removed very cheap, possibly free but it depends on your way of life. If your well off, they’ll stick it to you. If you arent, it’s very cheap, possibly at no cost.

Why don’t people understand this yet? You can’t just waive a magic wand and make things cost less, that’s not how economics work. American healthcare is not more expensive than any other healthcare, you are just paying directly to your healthcare provider instead of paying your government to pay your healthcare provider. In America taxes are ASTRONOMICALLY less than in countries with universal healthcare. You know why? Because we pay for our healthcare directly. Even if it may seem that you’re paying less for healthcare because it’s “universal” trust me, that’s just not how math works.

0€ That too it was in a super high end 'pricey' dental clinic in Germany. My health insurance (my yearly tax is 37% and health insurance is included in it. Which is 15% of my yearly income tax) pays for almost everything. I had a lot of other major issues and had no bills except the most being a 30€ bill for the hospital stay for 2 days for another surgery (0€ for the surgery). How come the US capitalizes everything and makes it a huge deal to be able to afford it and fantasize about it!? Oh also.. the sedation is barely there.. the process takes less than 5 minutes to do. And, I ate everything under the sun right after the numbing went away.. 2-3 hours later.

I payed $1000 in Australia but only because I had really good health cover because it was going to be $4000. But one friends didn’t have the best health cover and his health cover could only cover I think $750 he had to pay $4000. So if you come to Australia and you’re getting your wisdom teeth removed. I recommend trying to get good health cover. Do heaps of research. So prices could be $1000 to 5000 or more. Also I got all four of my wisdom teeth removed.

In India you can get your wisdom tooth removed for free in Dental medical college hospitals. In private clinics it costs should be far less than 100 dollars. There is no WISDOM removing it in USA😂😂

i do it in Shandong, China. The wisdom teeth just same like yours and due to prior one of teeth shows I have four roots, so the surgery I add few scans and total for CNY 700-800, I think for US dollars around $100😅. However, one of my friends just tell me she do the same surgery just cost CNY 100😢

Oh dear Lord...and I thought that 400 PLN (100$) per tooth is expensive. I could do this on my universal health care, but I didn't want to wait. P.s. i live in Poland.
