Great video once again. I really appreciate your honesty about the car and how you justified the cost and trouble with it. I can say I have totally been there too on a number of old Chevys. I think the fact that you are sharing the journey and the bad with the good is admirable. I’m all in on this one and looking forward to your next video. Ps. I was and am a big fan of the movie Bullitt and every time you pan across the front end of that thing I’m right back in SFO :-)

Thanks for watching, If I'm honest with all of you guys, I'm honest with myself, and I think that's a big factor in keeping a project on track. Thank you for the kind thoughts sir!! See you on the road 🤙🏻

I think I definitely want to put more time into cleaning the Torino up and making it nice. Especially watching this. Originally I was just going to patch the floors but I think I'm going to go ahead and do a whole new floor pan because I want to do it right the first time that way I don't have to do it again. Plus seeing your work and cale's work makes me feel like I can do better. I want my project to be something I can be proud of when I show it to and I think this one's definitely going to be that as well.

I'd say if your lining up to do multiple patches all over the floor it's a good idea to just cut it all out and get a new one or solid one from a donor in there. I don't know who would make a torino floor but you'd probably be able to find one.

@@RidicULooseAutomotive Auto Metal direct has a full pan for the bottom that would just have me cut out the old and spot in the new. That's the direction I decided to go. Plus since the car has sat a while since my changes the floors I DID weld in flash rusted and I don't trust the NEW metal anymore. So I'm just going to cut it all out and start fresh. Plus when I cut the old rust out I cut into the transmission tunnel a bit, and I don't want to try to bend the metal to re-conform that original shape.

@MLCAPE if AMD has them yea way better plan to get one solid floor. I kind of wish I had got front and back together but it does leave me room to make a subtle change

If you're cutting the roof already, sounds like a good time to do a fastback conversion!

I admire your tenacity with all the metalwork, I would not have the patience for it lol. On the M54, you may have said in a previous video but do you plan on keeping it NA? For drifting the go to right now is turbos, M54's can make around 400 pretty reliably. If you plan on more traditional tracking, there are also a lot of supercharger options as that was the go to for a long time

I appreciate that. Thank you! I do plan on keeping it N/A. I want to run ITB's and some cams and maybe lock out the Vanos. I'm a ways off from all of that yet, but that's the rough plan.

I love the ratchet going into your face. I feel your pain as that has happened to me many times. Did you make your car dolly? If so, what gauge metal did you use? Thanks!
@RidicULooseAutomotive
@RidicULooseAutomotive 14 сағат бұрын
Lol if I had a nickel for every time it happened. It's actually just 1/8th inch wall square subw with casters welded on and cross braces. Front is bolted to bumper mounts and rear is in the tow hook mounts.
