You may have already thought of this, but a quick upgrade for the wiper issue is to just buy a longer wiper blade. It won't change the total angle of the sweep of the wiper, but it will wipe more of the windshield. Just run the wiper to the top, measure how much room you have, then buy one that covers that area. If you could use more clearing at the top of the sweep, just lift the wiper from the shaft and rotate it a few degrees. It will not clear all the way to the bottom, but a clear windshields at the top may be more useful than at the bottom.

Not true at all, paint is vastly superior to bare metal and thus was painted from the factory on parts where it matters. What you are thinking of is the advice people give for treating something ALREADY rusted. Having lived in China for a few years I can say these things are all over the village and country sides in China. Many farmers such as yourself use this to haul hay and stuff around the farm. These things, from what I re-call would last around 5-8 years depending on how you use them and how much stuff you put them through. Cost of fixing these are cheaper in China so people would just keep fixing'er up. There is also the electric tricycle thing with a hauler in the back as well that you should look into. It costs around 1000 USD, has less horse power but also electric. It's amazing for moving things in short distances like in and around your farm. China has stopped making shitty and cheap stuff long time ago, it's actually our own governments that prevents them selling these kind of things in US or Canada. You paid $2,000 for this, I bet about 200-300 are tariffs and various taxes. Same with the tricycle I was referring to, it's probaby around 800 USD but you need to pay another 200 for duties tariffs and other stuff.

I guess for us in the west it reminds us when things were more simple. We can't have this because every damn manufacturer is trying to shovel us with big complicated stuff with lots of software and telemetry and so much lock-in that you can't just get your stuff for repair to any local shop. There's a huge second-hand market for Tractors in my country for this very reason. People buying and selling old tractors, even for brands that exist no more, just because they are simple, reliable, easy to repair, and you can even get compatible parts manufactured by small companies. But I guess in a world where you're only a cow to milk money from, sooner or later having old stuff will effectively banned too.

@@GalenlevyPhoto I think it's against the law of China. It is road legal because it's not legally a car. If it's too fast it has to obey car regulations and require a driving license, then it would fall out its current market place because tiny cars like this are mainly targeting old people whose license expired.
@GalenlevyPhoto2 жыл бұрын
@@cannedstarfish6194 that’s my point. I didn’t say 55 mph. I just said a little bit faster. Maybe 15 mph would be enough. Just for rural or farm like I said. Several small towns do allow golf carts around town only not town to town or on highways. It’s affordable compared to a UTV or a new golf cart. I still would like to see how it holds up for a couple years though. Also golf carts aren’t just for old people. Even younger adults drive them. I have a friend owns a golf cart and they live in a town that allows it. Not here in town where I live in.

I'm sure someone already mentioned the order of the charging connection is an important safety feature. Like a car booster starter pack that has to be connected to something and sense some voltage, it won't work if the battery is completely totally dead. This prevents power spikes blasting ur computer or people powering up devices in enclosed areas, fire hazards like powering car stereos or something with bare wires and jumper cables or alligator clips or backfeeding power into the grid somewhere.
@Altema222 жыл бұрын
It is pretty useful around a ranch, and just about zero maintenance is a plus. The suspension seems to be configured for heavier loads, and since your family is hauling lighter stuff, you could go to a softer spring rate (if you can find something you could adapt to it). Thanks for the video!

Enjoyed the video. Before installing a ham radio in the truck you may want to see how much radio noise the truck's engine control system generates. A portable transistor radio is one way ... lay the radio in the passenger seat and drive the truck through the pasture to get an idea as to whether-or-not the truck's motor control system is quiet enough (from a radio frequency interference standpoint).

It's nice seeing a small truck for once, they are pretty much non-existent in the US. I like the practicality but I don't like the bulkiness of size of modern trucks. It's like the truck makers intentionally oversize all of the body paneling so there is a ton of hollow and empty space on all sides of the truck just to make it look larger.
@ThisIS_Insane2 жыл бұрын
You've just described "crush zones" those areas built-in to vehicles that are designed collapse to absorb energy during a collision.
@rubiconnn2 жыл бұрын
@@ThisIS_Insane Those aren't crumple zones. Crumple zones are parts of the chassis that are intentionally shaped to be weaker so they bend and crush during impacts. What I'm talking about is huge empty volumes of space in areas that don't make sense as a crumple zone. For example looking at modern trucks there is almost several feet of empty space between the front of the engine block and the actual front of the car. All of the materials in that space is plastic and thin stamped sheet metal with zero structural integrity.
