In this video I explain how my completely analog light show system works. I've been doing this setup for 3 years. This setup is special because when most people make these light shows they use a digital system that they must program when every light comes on, and they cost thousands of dollars. In my system the amplified audio signal modulates the lights through a solid state relay. No special digital addressable lights, No special equipment to talk to the lights, No only having a few songs that work. This setup can play any song, it can switch up to 1,800 watts, and it is very cheap to make. If you've ever dreamed of doing something like this but you don't have the money or time to program it then this is a great affordable option. The amplifier can be any old stereo receiver you can find for cheap or free, the solid state relay can be a cheap one from the internet for about $15, the FM transmitter I use is also $15, and you will also need some cables to carry the audio signal, an outlet and an electrical box to plug your lights into, and some kind of device to play your audio. Any old lights will work as well, I recommend using lights you already have, But LEDs will do some favors for your electric bill.
