In my area, it's normal for the teenagers to go trick-or-treating. I kind of like it. It's a bit of an innocent kid thing that they're still holding on to. 😊 It's kind of sweet.

I’m 51 and I went trick or treating alone. I saw my 55 year old male cousin along the way and he joined me. 😂 I go every year! It’s that feeling of nostalgia for me and it helps me to cope with the grief of losing my son. He looooved to go trick or treating. 💙 RIP SONSHINE! Vaughn the costume had me rolling! It was too good. 🔥

I allow my children to ring our doorbell to trick or treat. My son has Autism and he loves to say trick or treat and grab candy from the bowl. He doesn’t eat candy but grabs a handful. This year they went out the garage and to the front door multiple times. It was fun.

Trick or treating is big in my development. A lot of people sit outside just to keep from running back and forth to the door. A few people have adult drinks like seltzers and angry orchards. One year I handed out pencils, coloring books and crayons from oriental trading for kids that had the autism teal pails and kids under 5. Candy is king and as much as we have our little one brought back 🤦🏽‍♀️.

Ms. Vaughn, your Halloween treat wall with the carmel apples was the bomb! I got a kick out of your baby Ava feeding herself. Vaughn, is Ava stepping out on her own yet? I know she's 14mos now. My daughter didn't start walking until she was 13mos old and I sat her on a little chair while we were out and she stood up and took off walking. She look so cute. Im not sure if Ann's baby teeth have come out and grown back. If not, let them come out first, grow back and then assess. Otherwise, the braces will be on for years, right on through high school. My son's braces were on for 9 months. Off just in time for senior portraits. However, each situatuon is different.

Love the costume and I use watch that show all the time and I just wanted to say something my grandson that had autism and cerebral palsy had to have surgery on his mouth and he went for the surgery last month and it started out good but right after we started leaving the big one came (Meltdowns) he has been doing so well not having the meltdowns and he had them on and off for about an week and I just wanted to put a little bug in your ear it might not be that for Anne

Our person had experience caring for non-verbal autism specifically but also CP and other conditions. Plus experience caring for multiple kids at once which was important for us since we have 2. We’re so grateful for her and so glad we found such a kind soul!

Being a parent whose daughter wore braces for EIGHT YEARS, due to the fact that she refused to care for them herself...The Dentist can give Ann a Twilight Sleep to install the braces, & make sure to buy a Water Pik for flossing of Ann's teeth. Ann will be okay, but the braces can be uncomfortable.
