Hey sis, love your videos! I wanted to encourage you that you aren't the only one who has been going through trying to have self control when it comes to our babies and even spouses. What has been helping me is repeating Galatians 5 the Fruit of the Spirit and reminding myself what it is. Also just being honest with the Lord about my emotions and that im having a hard time has helped a lot as well. Bless you sister, your a great mommy!

Here's some encouragement from a mom of 3 who has been a mom for 7 years now and a Biblical counselor: Imagine the words "image of God" are written across their foreheads when times get tough., I had my first two back to back and I had to consciously remember that these kids who are experiencing life for the first time do not have fully developed brains yet.... they do not know or have the ability to regulate their own emotions. So when we mom rage out we're teaching them that's how to regulate themselves and it's a vicious cycle. The brain is not fully developed until about 25 years old and so from birth to then we have to be extra intentional about regulating our emotions in healthy way. Say to your toddler "I can't understand or help you when you scream, try using words so I can help you" and that always works with my own kids. Ask Jesus to help you see them the way He does. I hope this helps ❤

Thank you so much for your open heart! It helped me a lot to remember I am not alone in daily struggles. I just wanted to mention that you are doing such a great job raising your two kids and prioritising God at first place. It is such a blessing to have! You know, our house can be not so clean enough, but our hearts opened towards God's Word and His perfect will for us. Life is overall not so aesthetic as we might think and sometimes some raw thoughts and knowledge of truth are just what we need at the moment. God bless your family and have your hearts in His Holy purity and unconditional love.

I feel your struggle with mum rage. Northern Irish mama again, with 2 under 2 & my toddler is almost 2! I have found that starting my day before the girls get up helps me so much, so that my cup is full and able to pour out from that- not on empty. Sleepwise, I was a nurse and midwife before I had my kids, then studied a masters degree on breastfeeding and maternal mental health which interestingly a lot of the research overlapped with sleeping (as that impacts mental health). We have a safe co sleep environment and have nicknamed our bedroom the family bed. It works really well for all of us and I can't recommend it enough. Love your content. Praying for you ❤

11:21 someone once said, it's not their job or responsibility to regulate us. Ever since then I looked at it differently. I've been working on myself every day and it has helped. Becoming more gentle, slow to anger, the fruits of the spirit. One needs to take care of ourselves, we can't pour from an empty cup. I know it's easier said than done. My observation is that it steams more from overstimulation and overwhelm, rather than their actions. Their actions just happen to be what sets off all the bottled up feelings and emotions. And it's not fair to take it out on them. So we must really work on ourselves. It's crazy how I thought being a mom was just to give birth and feed them. Til I grew up and saw this beautiful world so differently. Such a gift to teach a human being how to go about life in this world! ❤️ WE get to do that for them 💙

I love listening you as I literally experience everything you share in your videos and it is truly validating! Something we struggle with is attending church regularly as church falls during my 1 year olds nap time. She gets so cranky in the service and will not fall asleep in my arms, so my husband and I take turns holding her in the hall and we miss the message. We often tell each other it’s just easier to watch at home than deal with her screaming and squirming because she is so tired and wants to sleep in her crib. Any tips?

Thank you for this video. The part where you shared about feeling lonely really spoke to me. I am new to the Word and do not attend church. Where I live I honestly feel like I do not "fit ib" or belong (racial differences, age). I do have little ones so I try my best to include myself in school activities but then again, I am extremely shy (introvert) so I make it very awkard. It is very hard for me to iniate any type of conversation so most times I just stand alone and quiet. I will be having a playdate this Saturday and I am STRESSING so much. I am praying to God since I set it up asking for strength and just be myself. But thanks for sharing ❤ makes me feel less alone.

I know nothing is by coincidence, He is in control of everything. This is proof. This is the video (and channel) I didn’t know I needed. I feel like I’m watching myself in the mirror. You’ve address so many feelings I’ve been having lately in my life as a homemaker and trying my best to do God’s work. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, your vulnerability, your love for those around you and most importantly your love for the Lord. I commented in another video but just reminding you that I'm in the thick of it too with a 2.5 year old. This part of toddlerhood is much harder than I ever imagined it would be. For whatever reason, this week specifically a switch seemed to have been switched for my daughter and she's been having less meltdowns (still daily with crying/yelling out but not lasting as long as before) and she's been comprehending so much more. My husband and I feel like we can breathe again because she's back to being her sweet and silly self. All I can do is thank God because I have been praying for patience like you can't believe. I know God is with you during the challenging moments you're having too. It's something I have to keep reminding myself.

It's always hard to actually retain what I'm reading when she is sitting next to me with hers, but I know it's something that's going to form a habbit in her which I think means more than me just getting to read in that moment.

Hi. Im a mother to 9 and my youngest is now 9 yo. I am also a grandmother now to 3. I have recently found a book about discipline with ages 2 to 12. It is the 1,2,3 method and i wish id found it years ago. I think its from the 80s? But when a child does a behaviour that you want to stop you count 1 and the next bad behavior is 2 and when they do the third thing, it's 3. Then they go to their bed room for a minute per year of their age. No emotion from the parent and no discussion, if they kick up and dont go, you add another minute each time they complain. They can do what they want in their room but no screens. The idea is to remove them from what thwy were doing that you didnt like. You have to get to 3 before they go to their rrom and it has to be within a 20 min period or it resets to 0. If they do somethinv terrible you can immediately say 3 and thats it....room. the book is really easy to read its called 123 magic and its by Thomas w. Phelan Ph.D. it goes into further info and about older children. I hope this helps. Its helped me, even with all my experince and it really helps with stayinv calm and teachinv the child every behaviour that you dont like.God bless. Sarah.

I'm so glad I came across your video today, it was just what I needed to hear right now. I'm a mother of 5. Ages 13, 6, 4, 2 and 9months. The struggle is REAL. We have only been in our own home for just over a year and I'm still trying to figure this whole thing out. I read my Bible every morning and it's helped me immensely! But what you've said has really resonated with me. Especially about getting back in church. I know the Holy Spirit has been putting that on my heart lately and this was just another confirmation. I need to just get over my fear of being judged and be obedient. God's judgment is all that really matters anyway. Again thank you for the video! I'm praying for you and your family ❤
