An older believer and mom, grandma, here… PLEASE don’t just read your Bible in the morning before your children awaken. READ YOUR BIBLE QUIETLY IN FRONT OF YOUR CHILDREN. It will give them a good example without you having to say a word. Your children will see you praying and seeking the Lord without it being blessing the food or praying with them/instructing them. They’ll see you studying the Bible and someday will recall you doing that. More is caught than taught…and I wish someone had told me the same advice when mine were young.

Same here! Life changes and grace is important. She lost me when she said she felt guilty over the couches...if the couches are in a state where they're so gross they need to be replaced, isn't that on the husband as the provider to be able to pay for new couches? That's out of your control as the homemaker if there's simply no money. And I don't know any woman who would procrastinate on updating her couch if she could...

This video is speaking directly to my heart. We have moved, twice, in two years; had another baby, lost family members and so much more. I am now also a stay at home mom and it is the best part of my life journey thus far! Everything you mentioned is what I needed to hear. The past couple days I have felt God speaking to me about my habits and routines. I am hearing him louder now more than I had before, and why is it? My husband has now deployed again and we expect him back in about a year. I believe He has put me in this place to bring me closer to Him. Thank you for your videos

I appreciate that you are lifting up the concepts of making yourself and your home presentable. Considering that laziness would leave yourself and your home a chaotic mess, I think everyone could agree that organization and some extra effort in both of those areas raises your esteem, your energy, and cares for your temple as well as your home in honor of God. Not only does a tidy home raise your spirits, but everyone around you. And when you look put together, others respect you more, even if it is your children and your husband, everyone recognizes effort and care. It was a little difficult seeing some of the comments come at you like something you said was incorrect. Truly you are leading us in a direction of peace, of cleanliness, of care for yourself and your home for the glory of God. Thank you for this video, I will be subscribing. I also want to mention I've been putting off getting up an hour early which I used to do to read my Bible or to shower, but I've put it off so that my younger children will run upstairs when they wake up and snuggle in bed with me before I get up. The hard truth is knowing that the shower and the reading may or may not happen that day if I don't do it in the morning. I also know this is a season where my little ones like to snuggle. So maybe I will start to do those early mornings a few days a week so I can still get that morning snuggle now and then. ❤

Our home reflects our chaotic, messy but above all happy and loving family. We are a family of four creative individuals. Or home is perhaps not perfectly tidy all the time, but there is lots of laughs and warmth. Me and my husband both work, and we share the housework equally. But spending time with our sons has always been the priority.
@lindarochefort9520Ай бұрын
God is a God of order, not of chaos. When we release things that are unimportant, you can bring order to your life and home. Many things eat our time, ours phones, TV, games and many other things. Even children learn to take care of their little kingdoms(their bedrooms)
@lottiewallinАй бұрын
@@lindarochefort9520 What is chaos? What is chaotic to you and your family maybe is perfectly normal to me? The most important thing must be that you have time for each other, and that you teach your kids to take responsibility. My sons cook for the family two times a week and they of course take care of their rooms. But they do it their way which is perhaps not always the way I would have done it :). They need to learn basic home skills and the best way to do it is trial and error.

This video has taught me how to be a wife that my future husband deserves. Thank you, sister in Christ. You are loved by many.

As wives and mothers, we do these things unto the Lord because of our deep abiding love and gratitude for Him and our salvation. If that is not our number one motivation then everything else is an idol of the heart, yes, even good gifts like a husband and children and our efforts can eventually turn sour and hearts bitter. But if we do things in honor and glory of our Lord that is what fuels and sustains our deep love for others, especially our husband and children, so that we can steward our good gifts well. Prepare for marriage and motherhood but not so much that you miss or are distracted from what God is doing in your heart & life in the season you're in. Much of what you learn about marriage and motherhood is learned "as you go" anyway 🙂

Sorry to hear your husband left…but please don’t blame yourself or your lack of knowledge in certain areas. Marriage for the first time…specially at a young age means you will not know a lot of things and will learn and grow together. If he left that was his choice based on other things (trust me). You don’t leave someone you love because they don’t know how to wash dishes, make the bed, or sweep the floor. Stay strong and trust that God has someone better for you. 🌻

As a homemaker of almost 30 years, I can say with confidence that wearing your good clothes to clean your house is NOT the way to be a good steward of your clothing. I love the idea, but cleaning while dressed in good clothes ruins them. They get stained, torn, tattered- it is ok wear some old grungy clothes for the scrubbing. God gave us common sense for a reason ;) Your home also reflects the others that live there, not just you. This is quite a romanticized view of life.

Remember everyone is on a different season of their live, I used to see videos and get frustrated bc I couldn't achieve all they use to show you on the videos, but I understood, we all need to work with what we have, and do what we can ❤❤

I'm sure you're doing the BEST you can, I had that same pain with my 3rd and it was brutally painful to do anything or get anything done. God bless you 🙏

I'll never forget the advice mum mum gave me when I could not do as much as I wanted to do for my family especially after giving birth or when sick, she reminded me how she was always on her toes caring for everyone and the farm plus her home, and forgot all about herself which affected her health. The point is take a break, heal, ask for help no shame in that, reprenish your body since after birth sorry to say we are as delicate as that infant and our soul body and spirit need rest if we want to be at peace with everything.

Please consider that the person making this video isn’t pregnant or have little children running around, God is a God of love! Your home does not reflect who you are, your value was determined on the cross! Jesus died for you and wants you to live life to the fullest. Your contribution to your family is so important. Your body is working overtime to produce this beautiful baby, therefore please have grace with your self just as God does. You are giving your 100 percent, remember the day the lord blessed was the 7th day. The day he rested! 😊

Thank you for sharing this video. I have been struggling lately with keeping up with my home and family and working outside of my home. Especially on this cold virus season. But watching this video helped in putting things into perspective and knowing that it will all take some time and with the help of the Lord it’s all possible 😇💕

God bless you, thank you for this video. I am finding home making very overwhelming, there seems to be too much clutter, too much mess and so much to do. I am intending on focusing on the Lord more and inviting Him into everything so I can see what He wants for our family, I'd like to get ride of a lot of stuff. How can I clean when there are so many items everywhere. AHH. We'll get there

I appreciate your videos. I believe in living a Godly good life. I pray God give more grace for those women that have had trauma. It effects the brain. Also, I pray for those women that have health issues. No matter how much you pray. Pain effects the motivation. May the good Lord give these women more grace to have a well kept home and glorify God!
