Broke college student here 🙋‍♀Thank you so much for sharing your processes. I have just recently getting into one niche, but I feel like it's very hard for people to see the product I've put out there. I'm not giving up though! Will find out the demanding niche and work even harder to come up with an even better product! ☺

I really wish content creators would stop only reporting revenue. That’s all they ever state in their videos about the income they’re making, and it doesn’t mean much to us, since we have no clue about the capital, profit margins, expenses, marketing costs, etc. You could be left with $1k or $3k or $10k or even be in the negative! It doesn’t tell us anything. Maybe your products have a high wholesale cost. Who knows. Why do KZbinrs do this? I feel like it’s super scammy and not authentic.

Hey @summerBaby728 I totally get where you're coming from. I should probably shoot another video breaking down costs. Our profit margins currently sit at about 45% (so $10,082.25 if I do quick math) - We only spend currently $5 per day on Etsy ads and $5 per day on FB ads too, but that's figured in to 45% margins. But, the other thing most don't realize either is we have built a customer list from these sales that we own and can now sell more too in the future. So, what is the true margins if you look at the life time value of a customer if you're building a brand and not a garage sale type general store? It's much higher, but yes we will profit just over $10k, but yes we have to pay taxes too, but you do if you work for someone too 🙂 Hope this clears things up.

@@brandcreators I really appreciate you doing this! I honestly didn’t mean to come off so harsh to you. I don’t even know you and I only just found your channel which I now love & find very helpful. I’m just beyond frustrated by all the creators ONLY ever talking about revenue and especially titling their videos that way. I feel that it’s clickbaity. It makes it very hard to find out about the potential of any business endeavor. And EVERYONE does it, in every industry on here - whether dropshipping or selling insurance or Amazon FBA, etc. But we need to know what is actually take home pay, not gross. I’ve come across people saying they bring in 50k a month and then I find out that what they’re doing is typically around 10% profit margins! It’s dishonest. I do really appreciate your response here and clearing things up for us better. Thank you!

Glad to hear somebody has some success with abandoned cart and favorites coupons - since Etsy started letting us use these things, I have had three orders that used a coupon. It would be a good thing, but all of these buyers asked for a bigger discount, saying the codes weren't working, then all of a sudden, they had another 10% (or whatever %) off; a double dip...and one came from off-site ads, which knocked another 15% off my total. Talk about negative profit! Uffda! Thank goodness the off-site ad buyer waited another 30 days before a second purchase; I might have cancelled their order, just to avoid giving Etsy another $30+.

This would happen if everyone asking for the store name went there to check it out.
