George's original Christian name was Jeremy, a very noble name. However, he had to change it to George because of an injustice. He had a friend called Geoff. Geoff was a good friend to George at first, but then he started to ruffle George's feathers. Geoff pretended that George stole Geoff's tuna and cucumber sandwich. George's friends shamed him so badly that he had to change his name. Now, George still carries a lot of emotional baggage with him. George no longer makes friends or speaks truth to power, fearing he'll be shamed again.

In some Chinese families, people are named according to their family book. For example, the first character is the family name, say Lin, the second character may be a character taken from a poetry found in the family book, and the third character can be anything their parents desire. 'Heart and soul' can mean 'completely' and we use this phrase in various ways.
