The Doctor becoming a major villain later in the story (perhaps even going rogue from the Tsaritsa in order to fulfill his own schemes) would be super cool, especially if his boss fight also borrows elements from Scaramouche in Sumeru, where he creates a God using the power of the Gnoses he's gathered as well as the power of the Ancient Dragons. If the Traveler does end up fighting him in Nod-Krai, then this could be one option to allow the Traveler to enter Snezhnaya without issues or conflict if they got rid of a particularly dangerous thorn in the Fatui's side should the Doctor go mad or renegade. That, and presenting the Pyro Gnosis as payment for entry. So far the Fatui seem hesitant on accidentally awakening the Heavenly Principles before the appropriate time, as even the Doctor chose to destroy his segments rather than risk Nahida destroying the Gnosis to awaken the Primordial One. If whatever the Doctor is cooking in Nod-Krai would accidentally wake them up before they were ready... And we still haven't seen Dottore burn down Irminsul yet since Sumeru's teaser trailer came out, lol. Looking forward to see what Dottore will be up to in Nod-Krai, and if he can become playable if one of his segments rebels or decides to tag along with the Traveler.

Nah after the citlali quest I don't believe it was Dottore. It is more likely to be Regretor in my opinion. He can fund and build these massive facilities since he has massive amounts of Mora as he is like the finance minister of Szehnaya. If it was the Doctor he wouldn't take no for an answer and would have forced the Tepal guy to use Saurians from the beginning. He could be assisting the doctor with everything. And yes the doctor icame to collect the broken moon pieces recently but the main guy has to be Regrator.

Regrator has no benefit in funding Tepal's research. It may disturb the stability of Flower-Feather Clan, but it didn't disturb any economic activity (unless Tepal wanted to sell his jetpack, which there's no indication so far). Citlali Quest has Regrator involved because a businessman can't claim his dubious product because Huitzlin already made such item in the past. In this case, Regrator seeks to gain influence before he rise to the power. Also the same argument you used is probably the same reason why Tepal experiment "failed" and got him killed. We literally saw Dottore disguised himself in Tatarasuna for a long time to let the chaos brew before he had nothing to gain anymore and killed Niwa in the end.

Let me guess, Pantalone, but everyone is gooning so much for Columbina that they think she's the next on the line. Well, there's traces of Dottore too apparently.. Edit: I completely forgot about Chasca's tribal quest, I didn't think about the other craters at all. Tbh I don't think Columbina will be the one retrieving the pyro gnosis, it's gonna be either Dottore or Pantalone and it'd be a trade rather than a fight. We all know gnosis are a part of the third descender and after Mavuika got part of the life force of Xbalanque added to hers, I think it's pretty safe to think that she can let go the pyro gnosis once she learns about its origin and is offered something of significant value. Edit 2: I've been corrected, Dottore's segments were destroyed and Mavuika didn't take Xbalanque's gift. Still, she's been portrayed as powerful as Xbalanque without a gnosis, I don't think she used it when sparring with the first pyro archon, but I do make mistakes, so yeah, maybe wrong as well. And even if I was corrected and the Fatui wheel exists, I won't think the next is Columbina unless we get any info of her on the upcoming patches.

Yes I also 100% believe it was one of Dottore's segments who has the facility set up, before it was destroyed by Nahida's proposal. However that didn't mean production ceased, but merely came to a halt and slowed down. Dottore's one goal is to experiment. He craves for the PURSUIT of knowledge more than the knowledge itself. Anything he can obtain to continue that is gold in his eyes, including creating a god. He's more interested in the process itself than the actual final product - he wasn't really all that disheartened by his failure in Sumeru. It was just another test coming to an end. Dottore's segments are/were all over Teyvat just for the craving of running experiments on literally everything. I fully believe he's behind the camp in Dragonspine too. In the webcomic, he basically showing up in Mondstadt like, "Yo can I have your orphans." (To Diluc's response of, "Uh, f*ck no!?") He will go anywhere and everywhere because the man is obsessed. 2. There was a story event where Scaramouche, still a harbinger, was sent around to investigate meteorites falling from the "sky". This would make sense if Dottore was going around and telling him to do it. 3. I see a bunch of people saying Pantalone, and I'd like to make a thing clear - Pantalone's financing ALL of the Fatui's endeavors. He's the money man, responsible for handling and dispersing it. Dottore needs significant funds for all the things he does, which makes sense for him to be "closely" working with Pantalone. Dottore's the main budget sucker 😂. But if Dottore's experiments can also turn a profit for the Fatui, that's all the more reason to loan him it. Technically, Pantalone has a hand behind everything. But I don't think Pantalone himself steps outside of Snezhnaya often, supported by The Knave getting pissed at him and Pucinella for being homebodies whilst the other harbingers are out actually doing shit. Tidbits of Pantalone's past reveal that he came from a poor background, and that he's often described to be ranting on and on about the connection of Mora and the Gods. He may not be the physically strongest, but he's a financial genius - he could rock the world with an economic collapse if he so chose to, and his most crucial goal, to rock the world of the God's. This is supported by the statements from Tartaglia and Wanderer. He's willing to finance Dottore's endeavors because he's the one who engaged in the most blasphemy out of all of the harbingers. Dottore goes where there's experiments to be had. Pantalone goes where there is money to make and pots to stir.

God I love the floating lab, it reminds me of Gravity Rush. Technically the blue effect on distant objects wouldn't be as noticable at such a high altitude because of the thin atmosphere, and the sky could be darker, again because of thin atmosphere, but it really sells the scale of it all. At first you would think it isn't too surprising the Captain would be conducting research on Phlogiston on the side until you realize he cares too deeply for Natlan to capture Saurians. When you learn of his past you realize he would do no such thing. At the time I figured it is a case where The Captain was willing to do whatever it takes to save Natlan. I guess I paid no heed to this part and for that Flower Feathers quest I thought that benefactor who supported Tepal was his mother Alpa. The moment you mentioned Phlogiston extraction and Fatui Harbinger it's when I remember there is ONE Harbinger who has no qualms with hurting others for his experiments and would likely be in Natlan in secret when the Captain hasn't returned there for centuries until recently. That Harbinger conducting Phlogiston extraction experiments being Dottore the Doctor actually makes sense and the mysterious person he was bringing along being Tepal would actually explain the source of the development on the Phlogiston Wings. Dottore certainly would have the means to give to Tepal for his work and I imagine he was indifferent to Tepal's passing when trying to create his own means of Phlogiston refinement without hurting Qucusaurs. Mavuika at the end when answering the Traveler's question does mention The Doctor and his personnel surrounding the Moon Fragment that he would certainly know about since he knows that Teyvat's sky is false. For the thing with Och-kan, I remember during the World Quest with the Saurian buddy exploring Ochkanatlan, it was revealed there was more to Och-kan's tyranny and he feared more than anything the use of a certain relic suggested by the Sage. At the time I thought it was something that would reconstruct the ley lines or something of that nature. If Och-kan knew full well what the dragon's technology is capable of this adds a whole new layer of context to why he persecuted saurians and dragons during his reign especially when we are talking about the original inhabitants of Teyvat who fought against the Heavenly Principles when they arrived on Teyvat. The battle between them must have been so devastating the skies of Teyvat was torn apart and the Heavenly Principles after their victory wound up having to create a false sky. With what info Mavuika had provided, there is a chance the Traveler and Paimon will be meeting Dottore again in Nod-Krai and there is a possibility all of what the Doctor had done in Natlan ties to Project Stuzha The Knave had brought up during her story quest. With Tsaritsa's intent to challenge the Heavenly Principles, does a part of Project Stuzha involve shattering the False Sky the Principles had created exposing the truth of Teyvat to everyone in the world? BTW, Regrator's personnel and modus operandi was introduced in Citlali's portion of the Night Winds Chronicle Storyline. It lands credence to him being from Liyue with his men being mercs for hire for people who wants it and they form a "contract" to set the rules. It's not much but I just thought Regrator is a Liyuan because of how he looks like Dr. Baizhe and that Regrator was mentioned before in Liyue regarding activity from him. While it's not much but we could be getting a proper in-game debut of Regrator really soon.

this is wrong the lord harbinger cloaked in Black is likely Regrator who is also referenced in the final story mission for the Night wind tribe. Regrator is shown to be fully cloaked in Black robes similar to Capitano and is often linked to machinations revolving economics and trade and is the financial backer to many of the Fatui operations. The doctor being involved can't be ruled out, but Regrator makes much more sense

At least some mentions of the benefactor should refer to the one who continued his experiments, Allpa. As a major figure in her tribe, it is likely that she could move quite a number of resources and people at her own discretion. Since apparently, quite a number of people in flower-feather clan did not want to depend on Saurians for flight. Next, just because Dottore got his hands on some of the moon's fragments, doesn't mean he would be able to obtain their technology. From what we see, it is just superior to anything Teyvat has normally, and it only works for dragons (for a definition of "dragon" that includes Och-kan). And it probably doesn't mesh with Abyss-powered technology of Khaenri'ah, because it belongs to the Light Realm.

Wait a second, it is just me or what. That quest where there a craters place isn't it from v5.0 and when the moon shattered from v5.1. How come there's moon fragments before the moon itself shattered. Care someone to explain to me

6:50 finally someone brings up the ancient moons remnants in the southeast of natlan ive been sussing that rock to be moon related eversince that hole in the sky appeared in 5.1 but what im wondering about is what exactly is a secret source ancient moon? are they related to the three moon sisters? are they their own thing? and what are they for? did the ancient dragons just have like a deathstar parked next to teyvat that got totalled whenever the primordial one descended? or what kind of use did they have for an ancient moon? and while were at it what exactly are secret source mechanisms because they seem to be running on some kind of free energy type thing that even predates teyvats elemental energy (if im remembering correct that nod krai has some kind of energy that predates elemental energy)

I think you make good points here! However, I'm pretty sure the redacted name in the documents was just "Allpa" especially because she has said that she has been to Ochkanatlan, and the relics Tepal is using were most likely procured by her. But I think it's not unlikely that Allpa may have been in contact with the Doctor's people and may have seen the extraction facility, so that's what would have in turn given her the idea. She already has a chip on her shoulder about Ququsaurs and probably wouldn't have blinked at the use of other saurians if it's for the sake of humanity, so I could see this being how she learned about it, and later going on to suggest it to Tepal. Really nice video! Thanks for putting all this together.

Lotta people in the comments here saying it could have been Regrator, and yeah it *could* have been, but remember he's one of the ones Arlecchino called out for never leaving Snezhnaya. He does all his work through intermediaries. With this is mind, it's still more likely to have been Dottore running the Phlogiston center, at least personally. We know they collaborate more than most of the Harbingers seem to, though, so Pantsman might have a finger in it.

Wow, impressive theory. Might actually be true. - If true, it would give some background to Dottore's actions in Natlan in case he shows up more in Natlan. Will he be the one to fetch the pyro gnosis? I do not know. - Even in Inazuma, we determined La Signora's actions in keeping us at Ritou and discovered Jester's plans in the civil war, but only later the Traveler recklessly attacked a certain Delusions factory, only to meet another Fatui Harbinger. - By the way, it does not have to be Dottore being the only Fatui Harbinger concerned with personally overseeing investigations and production of strange items. In Inazuma, it was Scaramouche who happened to be sent to the factory. - So in Natlan, it is possible that a different Harbinger is involved, even if Dottore's men rushed in to investigate the Ancient Moon's remnants. - But I'll admit, this Dottore theory is pretty solid. It's just like the way people theorized that Capitano would die in Mavuika's stead since he had the curse of immortality - it happened as predicted. So as much as I would love plot twists, Dottore might just be the guy we see very soon.
