Nature is good for regrouping inspiration, but one thing I like to do is realize the empty spot and lack of quality in my life without inspiration. When I sit down and think about the decline in quality, it allows me to not be blinded and to get back to where I need to be. When you call out a spade for being a spade, then you can rationalize within yourself to step up and to physically and mentally bring you back to the sunny days in life. Obviously easier said than done, but it's worth the effort to pull yourself back to where you need to be

So in short, self analyzing and self realization is huge for me to regoup. Without it, I stay blinded by the lack there of. "Now when I self realize, then what? What do I do?" For me, it would have to be list my blessings, show myself all of the blessings in my life, which I have a HUGE support system/team, and a full belly and shoes on my feet. Putting myself in a mood of gratitude and bringing light to that seems to help me move towards the goal of having a present moment inspiration

"Write first, think later" - such good advice! Thank you!!!

You are welcome! It works for me and many others, but not everyone! There's so many styles of writing, but I think writing freely helps us bypass the ego a little, stop us overthinking. Thank you for commenting, I hope to see you on the next vid.

I love how much you have you say, my thoughts never quite leave my head x

I think you'll find they leave your head much better than you think 😊

Love the simple steps to slide into a poetic mind state. I always find when I spend time with nature that it takes a little time for my mind to quiet down enough to actually hear nature speaking to me. Nature's pulse, like the lake waves lapping the shore in the video, beats in a slower register than our usual day-to-day, technologized lives. I think Nathan's approach, using breathing and meditation to shift from human time to nature's time, is a really useful technique for attuning to nature's signals.

I am glad they came along. They can teach me more about poetry that I could possibly teach them. 😂

Me too, it's rewarding and helps to refresh my connection and reorient me to what I'm (and we're) from: the earth!

This video was so relaxing to watch back and I found your perspective on poetry and inspiration very insightful…But I think my favorite part may have been those surprise guests at the end! 👀
