He clearly should have been DPOY and the stats proved it, along with the fact he made first team all defensive. But I say the (NON-PLAYER) voters were already biased NOT to give it to him. Best D since Bill Russell said me and also Jerry West. Russ blocked Wemby jumper from the key, Wemby blocked Klays jumper from 3. Russ blocked shots and kept the ball in bounds, and so does Wemby. He's already a heavy favorite to win both D player of the year and Most Improved! Chris Paul had 7 assists a game off the bench, I think he is going to lead the league in assists this year by placing it right at the rim for Wemby. I mean it is unstoppable and easy peasy.

Wemby will be the best all-time defender. If we add his shooting and passing performances in offense, we can imagine he will be one of the best payers who ever played BB. In the top 10, no doubt. In the top 5... not impossible. Better than this ? Time will answer. Now we just enjoy his presence. CP3 will show how Wemby can be used by a team and this season Spurs could be a huge surprise.

They robbed him over bs excuses, the idea Rudy would make the Spurs better and Wemby wouldn’t make the T’Wolves better would be insanity and that’s the question that destroys the argument that the stats aren’t as important bc Rudy’s team was better. It’s stupid! It would make sense if they were even, neck and neck, but that wasn’t the case. Wemby had superior numbers with less minutes on a team that wasn’t as good, that’s not a benefit to Wemby, Being a rookie on a team that was statistically the worst defense of all time a season earlier isn’t a benefit to Wemby, it doesn’t mean he gets all the defensive stats by being on the team. He had do play and the team was better for it improving from the terrible defense a season earlier. They robbed him of that award
