@thechameleon26364 жыл бұрын
DNVR I see how it is...
@BoxCarBoy124 жыл бұрын
I don't know about that... Luka would clash with Jokic as both are primary playmakers and need the ball in their hands. I want to say KP would be a perfect fit as a deadly spot up shooter and a shot blocking presence to compliment Jokic on D. However, you could say the same thing about his fit with Luka and they haven't exactly played together super well this season.
@thechameleon26364 жыл бұрын
Soundtallica in Chains The games they played together they have been really solid, it’s just that KP was injured and not fully ready in the beginning. The reason why their record isn’t very good is because of the lack of games and time they played together. I think Luka and Jokic would fit very well since Jokic can be the primary ball handler within the paint who can find good looks for Luka and KP off the ball.

In the first training camp the Denver Nuggets rookies and the coaches one day played paintball. One very influential coach, forgot his name, called GM Tim Connelly right afterwards and told him: "Man, we've got a beast, a real beast right here." Connelly refering ti Jokic: "What, can he jump ?" "Listen! We played paintball out there and their group (Jokic & co.) had the less athletic guys and no the best weapons. But still it was impossible to catch this Fall friendly smiling guy. A beast we've got. That's for sure."

Don’t sleep on the Nuggets. One position of the temporary lockdown is that it gave more time for MPJ to continue to develop. I think MPJ and Jokic can be a championship duo. The rest of the Nuggets roster is fantastic as well.

@@DNVR_Sports To be honest I start loosing interest for NBA(still European philosophy fan) but Nikolas style bring me back. Like, I start to watch so called West coast derby and in first 3-5min both teams strictly shoot for 3pt? I guess you know what teams I think about. 25 free throw att. per game. Every weekend some player score 65plus. Super teams...Cant trust the refs. I can go onandon... Why should I watch when I have super interested Euro league. You can see the prospects twice a week. But Nikola man...when you witness the rise of a genius. He is a compilation of all former YU players skills. And more. Really, make me be a wake all night. I loose this habit for decade, or more. Its such a joy waiting for the game. I felt like first time saw the NBA game. I cant wait to see his new 10kg more muscle games. how a nba scout miss that kind of talent? they were to focused on some aau dunk hightlight i guess..
@scottcook23962 жыл бұрын
They really didn't have the vision for it yet. Everybody was still looking for the next Dwight Howard. Jokic was unathletic and a bad rim protector, and that was it for most scouts and GMs
@anonymousrapguyreactions90712 жыл бұрын
The NBA GMs look down on international prospects and G-Ignite players. They still have this old school mindset. If they aren't ESPN top ranked, at college or played at some Nike Hoop Summit GMs just refuse to scout them.
@trollmaster1232 жыл бұрын
i also think its not the scout fault, its the upper managment ,after watching hustle, ive realize how stupid they can be
@christophergooding98202 жыл бұрын
I don't think that's fair, they were looking for bigs in the mold of someone like a Dwight Howard so super athletic, vertically explosive, elite at the basket on both ends. Jokic wasn't and isn't that. While it's unfair, a lot of the times it's a massive risk to bet on someone so untraditional, especially having a passing big who would run the offense. We've seen that a few times, particularly with Walton, but he was still elite at the traditional big skills and attributes. Some scouts did notice Jokic's traits they just didn't realize how valuable they were for a center.
@doktarr Жыл бұрын
I don't think anyone looked at Jokic and said "he's ineffective", but it was easy to look at him and say "that won't work against NBA defenders". It would have been wrong, but for every undersized/unathletic guy who has success in the NBA despite that, there's a score of guys who succeeded at lower levels but get played off the court in the NBA. Guys like Jokic are the exception, and because of that they have to prove themselves more than the guy with the 40 inch vertical.

@Desi3654 жыл бұрын
I’m not seeing what hé’ll gain from that. More lift ? Yeah perhaps but he’ll never be a leaper. More runs? Yeah, for sure, but marginally imo. Him losing strength at the post is worrying, he got a lot of safe points from bullying his defender, he did it very well. If he’s too light he might be pushed and get less rebounds too. I don’t know. I hate to see big weight variations like this , it’s never a good sign for the mental state of someone.

Some of us are asking here how in the world the NBA scouts could not read Joker's potential in the '15/'16 summer league? 1.Your mind is only appetent, filtering out for what we wish to find. Much harder to realise that some guy would be a future HOF who in no aspect resembles any known NBA great. That requires some amount of knowledge (Hakeem Olajuwon, Arvidas Sabonis, Tim Duncan...) mental flexibility and intelligente. 2.Didn't the Denver Nuggets sign Nikola Jokic in 2014 (draft position 41) for a good reason? So they must have already envisioned a proper quality in him. AS we all know nobody could see the whole "unstoppable" Jokic coming.
