This theory falls apart when you realise Pyoro also leaked games from Nintendo’s third party partners and affiliates from time to time. If he was instructed by Nintendo, that would be SUPER legally questionable given copyright and NDAs and such. Nintendo absolutely wouldn’t go that far and put their ties under so much risk just to catch the attention of the terminally online.

@@ross3209 There are only 3 leakers who I can think of that were reliable… - Midori (Or now as we know, not Midori) who primarily leaked Sega. - Pyoro (Primarily Nintendo) - The Snitch (A lot of people won’t remember them) but they leaked the entire PS and Xbox 2022 Summer events through cryptic messages. That was until they got bored and just stated EVERY game coming in the same sequential order they were shown in during the actual event. Im guessing they definitely had access to the videos prior to them being published. Apart from them, I honestly can’t think of ANYONE who’s reliable - and all of them have stopped leaking. There are other notable “leakers” but idk how they gained traction, it really feels like they just make a rumour up and stick with it.

He also responded to a post about Ace Attorney saying that he would investigate it which was likely a hint towards the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection. Also the Nintendo backend claim is likely true because there was a significant delay with Eshop pages being posted for the games he failed to leak which would be a bizarre coincidence if it had nothing to do with his leaks.

Don't get full of yourself, video games aren't that serious. The Insomniac leak is a hell of a lot different from predicting what game is going to be in the next direct like... a week in advance. It's not "heroic" but it also doesn't exactly have the weight of "confidential information" that completely ruins everything. And besides, leaks are easier to avoid than people like to say they are.

Anyone who understands advertising knows that Pyoro was a nintendo employee, it was a viral marketing campaign engineered by nintendo management. He did not end his own career, nintendos slow period is coming to an end and they no longer need to resort to deceptive tactics to drum up hype. A backend is, at least when it comes to websites, the version that its developers get to see when they work on it. There are various ways to lock it out of the outsider's view, who in comparison only have access to the frontend. While Websites aren't something I've taken much of a look at during my apprenticeship, from what I know it allows you to change settings or content on a website without having to write them within the code by hand, which makes it a layer between the frontend and the code. This also makes it easier for a company to alter the contents of their site after it's been designed and coded by an external team, which can be cheaper than coding it yourself. I hope what I said is actually right, as it's more what I've heard from others and what it sounded like to me, than actual experiences of mine in this regard. If someone here happens to be more knowledgeable about this, then I'd very much appreciate being corrected. ^^
