So, why do you recommend not using this technique for not removing the controller cover…? Is there a risk of damaging the attached wire connection while aggressively removing the tire?
@doodyxdaniels2 жыл бұрын
Probably. I'd just detach the motor control wire (or can't you do that on a +?)

I appreciate the video. Really good stuff. Its probably not my place to say anything but if you guys are going to use a nice camera it would be a better experience to get that auto focus under control. Also stop pointing the camera out the window unless you’re going to adjust your iso. I know one of you has an iPhone 12pro and if not get one it will do a better job for this type of scenario while you figure out how to really use that camera. Please keep them coming I’m excited to see what other cool stuff you’re doing.

6:00 "don't be scared to keep adding air when you're trying to set the bead, there's nothing to be scared of, it won't ruin your tire" There is a max pressure for seating, explosions are dangerous.

Dope. I always wondered why folks damn near break down the entire board just to replace the wheel. I mean, isn't it more dangerous messing around with the tech innards? I'd say that, right there could be an acceptable "warranty void" on FMs agin-mod campaign.

I would argue about that tire pressure "wont hurt your tire" when trying to seat the bead... The plastic wrap on my Burris tire had a manufacturer's warning saying not to inflate over 40 PSI because it will cause tire damage. Excessive pressure rips the radial ply fibres in the tire carcass and you can end up with a lumpy mis-shapen tire when it rolls. You can buy a tire wrap which protects the carcass during bead seating. Or wrap a few layers around the tire of fibreglass packing tape (the type that will not stretch). The tire shop in my town said to use a real slippery detergent when bead seating, and sometimes they also put the tire in the hot sun for 30 minutes before fitting, which softens and expands the bead. 🙂
@c0pyimitati0n3 жыл бұрын
I've went over 100 psi when setting the bead, it'll be perfectly fine. You almost always have to go over the manufacturers PSI warning. The best thing to do is use a bucket and either some Armor Dilloz lubricant or else just some soapy water. Lube your rim and inside of the tire of, put it in the bucket and give it some air. The bucket will put reverse pressure on the tire allowing you to use way less PSI.
@sentientcardboarddumpster79003 жыл бұрын
Why is it called a carcass lol
@wizrom30463 жыл бұрын
@@sentientcardboarddumpster7900 ?.. No idea. Maybe because the tread wears away and the carcass remains? Thanks to Copy Imitation for the bucket idea. I'll still stick with fibreglass tape though because my plastic bucket is very weak. A metal bucket would be great. 👍
