I love how you talked about platonic love and cuddles. This needs to be more talked about and ‘acceptable’. I love all kinds of love. It’s amazing.

I am so thankful for you, and all the people who have upped their online content during this time of self-isolation. For a lot of us that would like to have gone to a sporting event, a party, a show, or whatever we normally want to do we can't. These little distractions are welcomed. I think the only time someone should look at it negatively is if they are actively making the situation worse, spreading misinformation, or being toxic about it.

To extend that metaphor a bit, I used to not understand how there could be people who don't like chocolate and joke about like "how can we be friends if you don't like chocolate" but then I realized those are the best friends to have if you do like chocolate because then you get all of the chocolate that they don't want. So sure you may not be to someone's taste but that just leaves more of you for the people who are really going to appreciate you the most.

Please do make that video about conflating happiness with arbitrary metrics for "achievement" or "completion." And if it it's not too personal, especially with regards to pressures to be in a couple and settled down at a certain point. I'm still in my early twenties so its even more silly to be caught up in it, but sometimes I feel like my current contentment is conciliatory as I wait for a greater happiness- i.e. being in a committed relationship- and that I'm just biding my time and living for a promised future happiness that is farcical because nothing can "complete" you but your own efforts at restoration. That's a definite ramble and I'm certainly still grappling, but would appreciate any wisdom in that vein you care to give :)

These VEDISI talks are like chocolate ice cream! Some people may not like them (and can/should stop watching them) but personally I think they're great! There are loads of people for whom these are a genuine lifesaver and long may they continue - or at least until the Crisis improves and you're no longer quite so housebound!

Just watched this again, I've only recently realised the cause of my unhappiness 'is what I do everyday making me happy?' 'Am I feeling fulfilled with what I'm doing?' The answer everyday is no and this year I'm actively trying to change it and find a job I truly want to do, this gave me more motivation so thank you x

That whole last 10-15 minutes about people disliking you and your three ways to cope + choc ice cream metaphor is something I reallyyyy needed today. A friend recently cut off from me without an explanation and won't respond to my messages. I had a little reflection and thought that maybe I had acted a bit unfairly and had hurt her in my behaviour the last time we spent a lot of time together. I sent messages of apologies to her with no replies but your talk at the end of this vid, really helped me with how I'm dealing with it all now. It was everything I needed to hear and know

Definitely feeling the loss of social interaction, especially physical contact with people. Just finishing up a second seven-day stint in iso, which hasn't been too bad this time around, as I knew what to expect and did stuff to keep my mind occupied. But yeah, miss the hugs and really miss having someone that you're close to, to have (even platonic) cuddles with. See, here's the thing, men don't generally admit this, but we crave physical closeness with our SO and spooning/cuddling with your partner is just awesome. It doesn't even have to be anything remotely sexual, but it is incredibly intimate. I'll even go as far to say, some of the best/closest I've had are when I'm the "little spoon". Makes all the difference!

This will be a bit rambly but first of all i just wanna say I'm so gratfeul for this series. I always listen to it while im working. Now for the heartfelt bit, so ive graduated this year and I knew i didnt want to continue on with my major and ive sat and ive tried to talk about it and it almost always ends up being a frustrating chat where people think im throwing away 5 years of my life (uni here is 5 years) and im like im not happy with the day to day, im not even aspiring to "climb the ladder" and whatever. I just dont think what im doing resonates with who I am. And its been 8 months since graduation and all this struggle going on and i just wanted to say the way you talked about this whole subject really validated me and my feelings and my struggle in a way no one has. I guess I just want to say thank you. These past few years my view of having an idol has really changed, its no longer looking at what someone has accomplished. Rather looking at how fulfilled that person is doing what they're doing and in that sense i really do view you as an idol ❤❤

Every video I watch of you makes me inspired and gives me a piece of advice or just a way of looking at something that ill take with me. Most videos I watch are just brain-numbing entertainment but yours are just like having a person who is further in life giving me real advice. Even if you arent giving any advice you are just lovely. Thank you so much for that.

The middle bit (your goals, your outlook, how far you've come, where you want to be) just floored me. It was insightful and clear and...really, it happened to be *exactly* what I needed to hear at this moment in time. (I'm trying to force myself out of my comfort zone [during this crisis] and embark upon *my* journey to do what I LOVE, but - as 90% of the population - I've held myself back, through fear of failure and...well, whatever else we do to self-sabotage.) Listening to your (truncated) story of your evolution...just...thank you. Sincerely. I think "influencer" as a term is really meant for someone who uses social media specifically to promote stuff they're paid to sell - where the sponsored posts are really the main point, not any kind of art of blogging (and then possibly use it as a way to live/present a lifestyle they couldn't actually afford, boo hiss rant). But people who aren't Extremely Online and don't know the difference end up using it as a generic catch-all term for millennial/G-Z professional internetters. But I definitely wouldn't consider someone by that title to be the same as any creator who uses online platforms to get their personal work out to the world.
